Not seeing this on either card I have; is it only Carnival, Carnival Brands, bookings through Amex, etc?
These have always been very hit or miss. I don't have it on my Delta AMX card but have offer on my everyday card. Good luck if you get them. And you can pay a current reservation within that time period, you don't have to make a new reservation. At least in the past this is how they worked.

Completely agree to do this roadtrip. We did it the day before our embarkation in Whittier in July. Car rental was only $45 in downtown Anchorage. There are many good idea on where to stop on Alaska.org. A gorgeous day trip

Last December due to ice storms in Atlanta, our flights were cancelled the day before and we would not make our cruise the next day. Drove to O'Hare from Michigan at 10PM to get a 7AM flight and slept in the airport. If you call it sleep. Had to hang out by the ticket counters as security was not open. chairs were limited, cleaning people were all around, and had to put feet on luggage to keep safe. We did not sleep a wink. It's not worth the $60.

Keep in mind Great Stirrup Cay is NCL's private island and it's a beach so that it what it is. It's a nice beach day!

Last cruise brought kids so used the 3rd and 4th perk instead. We had a note to go to security for one of our bags. We thought here we go, busted. We had a small fan. They rescanned the suitcase at security and asked how big it was... we said under a certain amount. So never opened the case and thought we were busted. As said above, hid in shoes or snorkel gear etc. seems to be the same as on all cruise lines. Sometimes you win sometimes you lose.

We halibut fished in mid July out of Ketchikan and it was awesome. We used Baranof fishing. They were same company that did the NCL excursion but going through them was cheaper and just us on the boat. They also do salmon fishing. We had to keep throwing back smaller ones as kept catching bigger. We were limited to one halibut per person but were able to keep any rockfish and cod. We had 4 big halibut, 3 cod and 3 rockfish and it cost about $200 to ship it home and have about 47 filets of fish costing $37 a pound. Great place. They suited you up also with rubber boots, bibs, etc. Great day on the water. Ask for John a school teacher he was great.

Have dinner at the Pump House in Fairbanks. Blackened halibut and Risotto. Outstanding

We just returned 2 weeks ago and went halibut fishing in Ketchikan. It was awesome. Highly recommend Baranof fishing. It's expensive, but I caught the biggie - 24 pounds and 34 inches long. I needed help reeling it in at 230 feet down. We caught about 10 but can only keep 1 per person so 4 but threw back smaller ones. We also caught 4 cod and rockfish we could keep. Good eating for a few months. It was a blast.

Thanks for all the good feedback and advice to book early. The ride itself looks wonderful. Booked for 2/23/19 Bliss.

We were on this cruise also and can't say enough about Capt Tuvo. What a treat. We had an aft balcony on Caribe and spent so much time out there. Our room was old but had the updates so not bad. I'm not sure if the picture will post but have a nice one of mama bear and cubs trying to cross the river. I loved it when you could hear cheers when #3 finally made the leap across. Wonderful week.

They were very good last year. BTW Harv and Marv seem to have retired
Maybe Harv and Marv have retired but went with the company last Wednesday. Highly recommended and do the smaller boats. We only had 10 people saw huge boats with people scattering for pictures. We were told we checked all boxes. Humpbacks a pod of Orcas that came up right by the boat and Dahls porpoise. We left an raincoat and hat on the transfer bus and it was mailed to us before we got home. So nice people. Awesome day

We just returned yesterday and went halibut fishing in Ketchikan. On its way home now to enjoy. It was a rush. We caught many plus cod and rockfish. Best day ever.

I agree with all comments so far. I had several booked and just kept checking and canceling and rebooking. I noted some locations were not supported by Costco. The Anchorage downtown location ended up being good and it was a $11 Lyft ride there and back to pick up and drop off.

If it's any help, when we booked Phillips, Major Marine had the President's sale going on. I emailed Philips asking if they matched the discount. they said no that their boat are superior, etc. so no price matching.

We just booked with Baranof... I will let you know how it is when we return in late July. I believe it’s the same one used by the cruise line, but seems to be cheaper to book direct. Lots of good trip advisor reviews so hopefully is a good fishing trip!
We will do the same. Booked with Baranof not through ship for halibut fishing July 19th so report back. I did a lot of research with some of them already booked for what we wanted. I liked the idea that Baranof will suit you up with boots and rubber bibs and hat and gloves so don't have to worry about bringing fishing type outwear that could get messy. It was a lot cheaper than through the ship and they didn't make us book through the ship.

What were the times for the MDR ? I have 8:15 pm but I have read where they have an earlier time than what was booked.
So I'm not the only crazy one. We are on July 14th cruise and I have told my family that I have seen Patters that show 7:45 pm for late traditional dining but our papers say 8:15. One in our group used a TA and said they confirmed 8:15, but sometimes I'm not sure how a TA would know. I've seen it earlier on copies posted here on patters. Maybe someone else will reply.

We have C753 booked so on the other side. Jump on it if available. As for comments on balcony size of other aft facing, those are all bigger as they are suites. There is a youtube video out there for C753 and you can see how great. C752 would be the same.

Thanks for all the great info. We have a car rented for a day in Anchorage for a road trip day before our cruise in July. Great suggestions and downloaded the alaska.org app and see the driving map on their site for suggestions.

Great video. We have this booked for mid July and hope we have same luck. Same question as Buckeye above, was this a 14/18 passenger boat or just 6?

Might be too late, but we had this same question and I called Princess direct. The agent took down all our confirmation numbers and put them in notes under my reservation. One was already "linked" but he said everyone needs to call Princess and give them my "master" confirmation number and give permission to link their individual reservation. So all needed to call and approve it. One in our party used a TA and they said the TA needed to call to do it. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your review erber. Can you confirm that formal nights were Sunday and Wednesday? We are taking same cruise on Star in mid July. Thank you

Thank you. Would love the password also.

Enjoying your review. Alaska Fish House. This is where we are embarking for halibut fishing in Ketchikan in July. They will cook your catch, but we are hoping to catch and have them ship it home for some good halibut on the grill when we return.
Congo Cay excursion
in St. Thomas/St. John

Wondered if you took this excursion as looking at the same. There are some other posts/reviews but I think they are referencing a different Power Cat, not the Luxe Power Cat which seems to look like a different type of vessel. I did the power cat before in St. Thomas but this seems like a different one. Would appreciate if you took this excursion your thoughts. Thanks.
