  1. The traffic in the Alaska board is terrible. I am glad you asked here 🙂 I can not help but hopefully the experienced Princess Alaska cruisers can.  I have a lot of questions about up coming land and sea Princess trip but as you said there is very little traffic on the Alaskan board.

I'm always leery of those blank spaces on a deck plan--one never knows what goes on in them.  Unfortunately, you found out the hard way, but at least they tried to quiet things down when you complained.  Looks like there could be a similar problem in the same area on Caribe deck on the Coral.  I also check what is above and below the cabin I want before booking.

Which Cabins on the Caribe deck are you concerned about? We are in C504 and C414. Thanks, Bobbi

  3. PrincessCONNECT — Premium Package for $109 & day cruise in Alaska

This is the option I have to book on the Coral Princess for my cruise. Could someone explain what it is? Is it unlimited?  Than you for all your experience and help!

  4. Does anyone have a current drink menu? We are going on the Coral Princess in June. This is our first Princess cruise. I have taken several Carnival cruises.  My favorite ❤️ was the Mojito. What are your favorite Princess drinks?

  5. Alaska internet experience- can anyone share your thought? Do I need to purchase internet or will I have enough service while in port?  I will want to check on things at home briefly and maybe transfer money or pay a bill.  Not surf or watch movies. Just quick things. Thanks, Bobbi

  6. Good evening,

We are riding the train from Denali. Therefore, I think we will be visiting quite late. Will we have any hope of a Sanctuary chair?  Is there anyway to book ahead of time? We have mini suites so I am not sure it they are need? What do you all think? Bobbi

Yes, you can. You can do it online or on the phone. The offerings are slim and are what you might call half bottles, but they're more reasonable than on many other cruise lines.

An example would be 375 ml of Jim Beam for $17.70.

It is much better than Carnival. Thanks, Bobbi

use your cruise card or medallion to get tokens

Pro Tip - if you know you will be doing laundry, get your tokens ahead of time ... and bring your own pods

How do you get your tokens ahead of time. TIA. Bobbi

  9. Good morning,

We are very blessed to have a mini suite and CC dining for our Alaska cruise in mid- June on the Coral Princess. Can anyone share their experience? Any suggestions? Are the menus the same? Does anyone have menus or patters from 2018 they would like share? We will be in C504. I am very excited. TIA for Alaska or Princess advice.   We are doing our land tour and Princess Land Tour. Also, 2 days in BC and 2 days in Seattle. Bobbi

  10. Hello,

We are going to Alaska next June. One of my favorite activities on cruises is Sea Days, pool and hot tubs. How popular are the pools and hot tubs on Alaskan Cruises? Are the Lotus pools and Hot tubs full of water, i.e. open? Is the water hot or just warm?

    Thanks!

  11. An advantage to the Coral is the forward AND aft viewing areas on Decks 10 & 11. While the upper decks are open, they can (will) be crowded during the voyage into the Glaciers. There are 'blue' panels that can make it difficult to get clear photos.

Also, the Coral has the International Cafe (Jr.!) a bit smaller than on the grand class ships, but still a great addition.

Be sure to see the "On the Bayou" show in the Universe Lounge, but get there early.

The buffet (Horizon Court) is located in the front of the ship and it offers great views up there while you eat.

They have a covered pool area (adult only) that makes cool or cold days very comfortable.

Your family will really enjoy the Coral and Alaska will absolutely blow you away!

    Happy Sailing!

Is this true? A adult only pool on the Coral? Thanks, Bobbi

  12. Yes, detergent is available in the laundry rooms. You swipe your card and get tokens to go in the machines or buy detergent.

This basic information is so helpful. We are planning a journey from June 13 to July 1, 2019 with a carry on and a personal item. We will have to do laundry and pack wise. I have never packed this light before for a warm location, let alone a cool/cold one. Nervous about that.

    Any advice or suggestions welcome.

    Thanks, Bobbi
