We did it on our own. using Taxis to the Ferry and walked around Cruz Bay. It is beautiful and we may do the same again when we go in January. It takes about 45 minutes each way on the taxi and 30 on the ferry.

we flew from ATL To LAXwith a plane change in PHX. Seamless. our flight home was direct. We dismebarked and had about a two hour wait at the airport on our return flight. It was not a bad experience for us.

You don't get any FAS with a guaranteed cabin. the only difference it a balcony and the mini suite is the bathroom. The FAS is a far better value. Check me on the guarantee by checking your account online to see if FAS is on there.

It does say it varies by ship. Some have Circoc and some don't. I love Limoncello too and was surprised to see it at all.

1. No, a fair comparison is whatever week you are taking a cruise for the same length same ports. Neither of these prices were sailaway rates. YOU CANNOT get FAS with Sailaway rates. They were both chosen rooms of the same category with all perks included and room # assigned on each cruise line. NCL was $700 cheaper than Celebrity and offered more. Not sure how that is barebones. 2. The sailaway/guaranteed rate plus paying for a drink package is not cheaper than choosing a room and choosing FAS on NCL. And NCL does not discount your room based on whether you choose FAS. Yes the increased cabin prices cover some FAS costs but you can't discount just your room so in essence we are only paying gratuity for the basic drink package. < This statement was in reference to the comment above.

You're right because if you don't choose the FAS then NCL will reduce your fee if you choose a guaranteed cabin and pay by the drink or pay for the beverage package which is still more than booking with FAS and choosing your cabin. No thanks I understand every person on NCL is paying more per cabin to accommodate the FAS promotion if not booking on a guarantee. I also don't pay for what I don't want to pay for when on board so it works for me. I just did a mock booking on the Edge and Prima for the same week I am sailing. Balcony cabins for both, alcohol package for both. Celebrity price doesn't have airfare or Specialty dining. The fare is $700.00 more than on NCL Prima. It is just personal choice.

You don't even know me. You won't find me crying about anything. You will find me going elsewhere or paying for it. Do you really think complaining about it and insulting people you disagree with will change any decision made by NCL? I have cruised on other lines. I like the food best on Celebrity, I like turkey night on Carnival (if they still have it). I hate the pool area on the Encore but found somewhere I like to sit. I don't like that there is no spice H2O and I hate that they charge extra for lobster but if I want lobster, I will pay for it. I am going back on the Encore because I loved it. I am getting the drink package because when you put it all on paper and look at what drinks would really cost you (on all cruise lines) it is a good value. Have a great day. I am going back to being emotionally attached to the corporation that allows me to cruise by writing me a paycheck. I will gladly give some of that to NCL.

Yeah, losing roughly 18 months of business shouldn't be hard for the cruise lines to recover from. I personally don't think NCL is gouging anybody on the drink package or for raising the price for whatever liquor they want to charge for. Most passengers are paying for gratuity only on drink packages. So we can agree to disagree. I want to drink so I am paying for the drink package. Yes, the upgraded one. You can spin it how you like, it is supply and demand. If people still want Bailey's, they will pay for it. The value of every package and loyalty program has changed. NCL will charge whatever they want without our approval. PERIOD!!! . I think the value of an NCL drink package is worth every $$ and I love the ships. I don't have an issue with a corporation making profit. I like what NCL has to offer and I am willing to pay for what NCL offers that has value to me.

Am I the only person paying $10/lb for bacon, $15/12 pack for toilet paper. $5.00 lb for ground beef, $5.00/ a gallon of milk, $4.00 a loaf of bread and lets talk about soft drinks now being $8.00/12 pack?? The price of everything has increased. NCL increasing the price of Bailey's $1 to keep MDR food included or where ever they are choosing to increase a little at a time is ok with me. They were out of business for how long? Be reasonable. I know Bailey's doesn't cost anymore per bottle than other drinks they offer on the included package but it may be demand or just the choice they made at which one to increase. It is what it is and won't keep me from drinking it. I would imagine the Beverage Manager made this decision. It is what it is and sometimes we have to accept things we don't like. 🙂

Depending on your itinerary you could have to pay taxes while in port and you do pay taxes in US ports on drinks. If you choose the alcohol pkg that is offered with FAS, you pay the gratuities with your cruise fair and it covers alcoholic beverages up to $15. It is a great package.

That smoked mozzarella ravioli and the short rib ragu are what I look forward to in the MDR. I won't miss shot rib ragu night. I even learned to make it at home.
