Amazing to see the positive reviews for the food in MDR. I'm not a beef eater so don't have that to compare. The servings of all fish ,except the branzino, were pretty bad. The cod was to have "crispy " coating but had soggy bread crumbs and returned all the others or left on my plate. Pork ,veal and lamb cuts were very tough and had to use a steak knife to cut. Maybe just unlucky in my servings. This is our 6th cruise on Celebrity since Oct. 2021 and have experienced a steady decline especially in the food selections and quaility of meat. Difficult to find a white wine without an upcharge and have removed all red blends from the basic package. Headliners were very good but had seen all the production shows on other ships. Glad to see the smoking trial failed for the casino. Staff remains very good and work so hard. We will be trying other lines in the future.

Oh my about the firm mattresses. We are back less than a month from a 14 day river cruise on Viking and my back and hips are just getting back to normal using our Sleep Number bed. Have brought my own pillow post Covid so that's not an issue. Princess use to have foam toppers that could put on the mattress if you found it too firm. We haven't sailed Princess for 10 years ,doing mostly Celebrity, but wanted to try the Discovery. Do they still have that option? Have heard about the smoke being an issue so booked according on an upper deck port side aft. Looking forward to trying Princess again.

So frustrating as had enjoyed Celebrity.. Fortunatly our 3 future cruises have refundable deposits. Have brought X so many new customers and been loyal to then for 20 + cruises but if this is their direction now we are saying good bye too. Going on a Viking river cruise in Oct. so guess we will be looking to use Viking in the future. Less cruising for us because of increase in pricing but think they actually care about their past passengers.

My husband just reminded me that we could smell cigarette smoke on our balcony in Jan. on the Equinox . Could identify where it was coming from but were on deck 10 in a room on the hump so a large balcony. No eveidence on 9 our day Alaskan cruise in May but pretty cool weather to be on a balcony!

It would be interesting to know the breakdown and percentage of where the automatic tips go. Remember years ago on Princess (20+) that if you requested they would give you a list of % and employes that were included. At that time a large amt. went to the cruise director! Just hope they include those really tough jobs in the kitchen, laundry ,etc.

Have no personal reference to it other than friends say vaping is happening for sure on other cruise lines outside the casino went it is allowed. Just going with the human nature aspect . Also the last line of my form letter from X said " thank you for the feedback on our recent change". No word test in that statement which enforces my belief that " it's a done deal "

Just got the standard reply from Celebrity. Like so many here I feel this is a done deal even with all the negative feedback that they seem to be getting. Unless passengers with future booking are willing to cancel ( my husband and I are ) if this " test " is approved will make very little difference to corporate how many dislike. Final payment in early Oct. for next X cruise so hope cruise critic will be active about casino vaping ( soon to be smoking too ) after the 20th of August. The slippery slope and human nature will make this activity spread to other indoor areas. Elite + status not worth that much anymore.

We just book 1547 on the Solsitce . Just checking if anyone sure that the bed is first on entering. Don't care for the coach first as table in front of it makes moving around ackward. Know 1552 across the hall is the oppisite confirguration so hope they go everyother one like the balconies. like the balconies do.
