I will say that my nieces loved the kids’ club and didn’t want to leave.

Very few, I’m afraid. HAL does not cater to kids at all (I don’t mean this as an “anti-child” statement) so really, the only time I’ve noticed many on board has been at Christmas.

I can only say that this sounds like a Jones Act issue. I’m also Canadian, and when our shore excursion (on an Alaska cruise) briefly crossed the border, we could not get off the train...in our own country...However, that was in 1999, so things might have changed since.

I understood that she meant direct flights to popular ports of embarkation, of which Montreal may be considered one. I tried to delete my post, but could not find that option.

Have you tried asking on your roll call?

You did. You said that you wanted more port calls because «*I don’t care about the ship*». Did I misunderstand you?

Oh! Sorry about that.

No, the OP is asking about television options.

If I recall correctly, Krazy Kruizers lives in Nova Scotia. He/she would have to fly to Toronto or Montreal to get to most places (I live in Montreal, and have family in Halifax).

Tom, if you don’t like cruising, why do you go?

I have not cruised in several years because my travel companions’ health deteriorated. There are two things keeping me from solo cruising - double occupancy pricing (although that’s getting better) and my absolute hatred of flying. I spent 75 hours total on trains in 2017, and loved every minute of it.

It really is. We decided after our second cruise to only cruise 7 days or more. However, I understand that this might not be an option for everyone.

Wait until you get on board! Disembarkation day will seem like the worst day of your life - «*What do you MEAN, I have to go home??!!*»

I work for a legislator (before you start, I’m Canadian...) and we get this argument all the time.
Why should I pay for universal health care? Because when you or your loved ones need it, it will be there.
Why should I pay school taxes? Because an educated society is of collective benefit to our society.
So why should you pay for the casino, the gym, the pool, television channels? Because they increase the variety of entertainment options onboard, attract new people to cruising, and continue to make cruise lines viable for the companies which own them.

Why even bother posting if you’re going to argue with all those who reply?

BeanB, you’re not a Celebrity employee. You have no way of knowing whether the conversation you plan to have will produce results - or what Toronto Guy’s settlement terms would be. Please stay out of it.

I’m sorry you had this experience, Toronto Guy. I agree that the other poster going to these lengths to defend a particular X employee who is presumably not a relative or close friend is...dare I say it...creepy. I would not want a stranger to speak to Celebrity on my behalf. Too much risk of distortion.

It’s a good thing not to have access to US cable coverage of the Olympics. Your viewing experience will greatly improve.

Which is a good thing!

I can answer your second question. I had to kick people off the lounge chairs because they are not clearly identified as belonging to the occupants of a particular stateroom. I learned to keep a pillow out there 24/7: that seemed to deter interlopers.

Perhaps, as a compromise, you could attend a Saturday service during your port visit that day. Depending on the port, it could be quite inspiring to practice your faith in an unfamiliar environment.

Casino and M Life question
in Royal Caribbean International
Posted
There has been at least one thread about this. I thought I read that Royal and MLife have not yet signed their 2018 agreement.
