We changed three times after we got assigned cabin numbers as we were not happy with the location (obstructed view). We even got upgraded to a concierge cabin with a great location paying less then a guarantee cabin through a TA.

Anyone stayed in these type of cabin next to the magic carpet structure (see pic). Wonder why the bed is by the window. How is the privacy?

Been to Cinque Terre before but want to explore Portovenere this summer from La Spezia. Any recommandations and tips regarding transport, restaurants and other?

We have booked an infinity stateroom, have heard the pros and cons but I think we would enjoy it. In our last cruise with didn't use our balcony that much. We have paid for a classic drink package through Celebrity (The all included option at their website), but are drinks gratuities included? (The 20 % service charge) On Wonder, we didn't have to pay extra for drink gratuities at the end of our cruise..

Going on our first Celebrity cruise in July and this will be our second cruise overall. The first one was last year on Wonder of the Seas in the Mediterranean. Wonder was amazing but we are looking for a more relaxed/adult experience. (We are a couple in our mid-30s). The ship is Celebrity Edge and the itinerary is Rome - La Spezia-Ajaccio-Portofino, Cannes- At sea-Palma Mallorca- Barcelona. We have never been to Rome before and will be staying there for 2 days prior to the cruise. Last year we did Cinque Terre-It was stunning but way overcrowded so are not planning to go again. Any other reccomandations for La Spezia? We are thinking of Portovenere- easy with a taxi from the port? How is the ship experience compared to Royal during school holidays? Are there fewer kids even in the summer? How is the food? Have read mixed reviews lately that the food quality has dropped. Have always heard that Celebrity food is a step up from Royal. We have an onboard credit- should we use it on specialty restaurants? We had a dining package on Wonder but felt it was a waste since the included food was just as good or better than the $ restaurants.

Considering these itineraries on the Edge for summer 2023. Anyone has been on either one or both and would like to share tips and recommendations? Which would you recommend? 1: Rome-Ajaccio-Portofino-La Spezia-Cannes - Palma de Mallorca-Barcelona 2: Barcelona-Valencia-Ibiza-Portofino-Ajaccio-La spezia-Rome Have never been to Rome before but in La Spezia, Palma, and Barcelona. Planning our second cruise this summer in the Med. Got spoiled last summer on the brand-new Wonder of the seas. Had a fabulous time but are considering Celebrity this time as they are seen as a step above RC. Looking at 10 nights in Greece, Croatia, Montenegro, and Italy on Beyond or 9 nights on Constellation visiting Greece, Turkey, Montenegro and Croatia. Connie is at least $2000 cheaper. Is Beyond worth the price? Or would we be disappointed going from a brand new ship (Wonder) to a ship over 20 years old?

Has anyone noticed the new planting in CP on Wonder? Looks like they have replaced a lot of trees with new ones. Anyone knows why?

Hope they built it with promenade deck like NCL and the new MSC ships.

Thanks. Maybe on the sea day. Its a very port intensive itinerary and late departures every day so I dont think we will be eating lunch on the ship

Have reserved 3 night speciality dining and cant decide which restaurants do choose. It will be my first cruise so have nothing to compare with. We think Chops of course and maybe 150 central park. So the last one will be either Wonderland or Giovannis. Any tips? We will visit three Italian ports and will eat a lot of Italian food there but giovannis has always good reviews. Wonderland seems so cool. Its difficult to decide😀
