Reading these replies is kicking my excitement into overdrive! I am happy to hear that things went well for those who have already traveled. I was curious about the check in time as I know the ship does not depart until 8:00 pm. We are arriving 2 days prior to the cruise and taking the train into Seward. I do hope things settle down with the airlines soon!

Greetings, I apologize in advance if I am posting in the wrong place but I have been checking daily for any feedback on the current season for Millie in Alaska. Can anyone comment on how the cruise has been? Can anyone tell me if you left from Seward what time you were able to board the ship? We are going in August and I have been looking everyday for some feedback and I have seen little to none. Any information you can provide would be appreciated!

We are also spending two days prior to our August cruise in Seward. We went last year by train for a few days since we kept our land portion of Alaska even with our 2021 cruise being cancelled. Very nice little town and we loved Rays but I have also heard even better than Rays now is the Cooker. They do take reservations so this may be something you want to consider. Many things were closed last year in Seward since there was no cruising going on. I am hoping there is more open this year but as has been mentioned with the labor shortage who knows what it will be like. We also did the Kenai Fjords trip last year and enjoyed it very much. Either way we are counting the days until we are back in Alaska!

We were on the Eclipse as someone mentioned earlier in Aug 2019 and we got within a 1/2 mile of the glacier. It was the most amazing trip ever. We are going back again in August 2022 and hoping for a another close visit.
