  1. Our check in day is 6/23 for an Alaska cruise out of Seattle. We live in California. On past Carnival cruises, regardless of where the cruise left from, we could start our check in at 9:01 p.m. PT on the day before our check in day, since that would be 12:01 a.m. in Miami. We were told that Carnival uses Miami time, since that is where they are located. However, I recently heard that they may have changed the check in time to the time of wherever the ship departs from - so in our case, we would have to wait until 12:01 a.m. Can anyone who has cruised recently and knows the answer to this question let me know? I guess we can just try at 9:01 p.m. and if doesn't work, set an alarm for 12:01 a.m., but I was just wondering if anyone knows for sure.
  2. Thank you so much. This is just what I was looking for - someone who had recently been on the ship.
  3. Can someone who has has recently disembarked from the Spirit in Seattle answer the following? * What time do you need to be out of your cabin on arrival back into Seattle? * What is the latest time that you can leave the ship? Also, what is the earliest on-line check in time reservation that is generally offered for embarkation in Seattle? I know some things can change that at the last minute, but just trying to get an estimate. Thank you.
  4. Thank you so much for the prompt response! Cruising on an unfamiliar cruise line is very overwhelming for me, so I have many questions. Have a wonderful cruise!!
  5. I have cruised quite a few times on Carnival, but my first NCL cruise is leaving in just over 3 weeks. My question is about the online check-in. I know it will be open 21 days prior to departure, which is Sunday, 1/7. With Carnival, online check-in opens up at 12:01 a.m., eastern time, since they are located in Florida. Since I am in California, I always go into the booking at 9:01 p.m., pacific time and do my check-in. Is it the same for NCL?
  6. I have 2 questions. Is the 12-pack of soda for all passengers or just adults? Can you bring any kind of non-alcoholic canned drink, like energy drinks?
  7. Thank you so much for the information.
  8. Do you have any information on the cost for Soul Play?
  9. On our cruise, a sports coat was not required.
  10. My point was to give up-to-date, accurate information for anyone who is interested. I enjoy dressing up when visiting the dining room for dinner, so what others do does not affect my enjoyment of the evening or my decision on what to wear. I spoke to a ship officer and several dining room staff who confirmed that Celestyal's dress code has changed since the cruising restart. They suggest smart attire, but do not require anything other than long pants. I did not say that shorts were allowed in the dining room. I specifically said guests were turned away for wearing shorts. I understand you have extensive European cruse experience, but Celestyal is not a high-end European cruise line and has a different guest profile.
  11. I just returned from Celestyal Crystal's 3 Continent cruise and I can assure anyone who is concerned, that they do not turn guests away from the dining room for wearing anything other than shorts. Even at the Gala Night, where many were in nice dresses and dress shirts, there were just as many in jeans and t-shirts, and no one was asked to change clothes or eat elsewhere.
  12. Your response was not helpful. I am from the US and know how to dress like an adult. I have been on many cruises but not on Celestyal, so I know how to dress on a cruise. I was just looking for some specific information on how formal they are looking for. Clearly I am not "most people". I just asked a question. If you can't answer without insulting, don't answer.
  13. I leave in a few weeks to cruise on the Celestyal Crystal and have not been able to find anything regarding their dress code. Can anyone point me in the right direction so that I pack what I need to be able to eat in the dining room?
  14. Risaroh, I will be doing the 3 Continents cruise in about 5 weeks and would love to hear anything you can provide regarding your experience. I am interested in how embarkation is handled. I am used to cruising on the big cruise lines where you have to choose a time to arrive at the pier. Is that a thing with Celestyal or do you just go whenever you want? I booked my cruise after they took away the free drinks offer. Can you give any insight as to how much mixed drinks cost? I am thinking about taking metro or bus from downtown Athens to the pier. Wondering how you arrived at and departed from the pier. Any information on the ports - did you do the cruise line's shore excursions? Sorry for all the questions, but I would be interested in any information you could share. Thank you.
  15. I will be on the 3 Continents cruise in early March and would love any information you could share regarding the ship, food, ports, embarkation, disembarkation and anything else you can think of that would help this nervous traveler. Thank you very much.
  16. That is exciting. Have a wonderful time and pop back in here with a review when you have a chance.
  17. I agree that the Celestyal website, especially for the 2023 sailings, is very lacking in information. I finally called them to see if they will be offering the 3 Continent cruise next year and I was advised they would. When I asked why there is nothing on the website about it or to book, I was told they are making many changes to the website, so not everything is updated yet. That was almost a week ago and as of today, there is still nothing. If anyone is interested in watching a great review of the 3 Continent cruise, go to YouTube and look up EECC Travels. They did the cruise in 2019 and did a great job of making me feel like I had gone with them.
  18. I decided to postpone until November 2023. My traveling companion does not want to get a Covid booster, which is required this year, but won't be next year, unless something else happens. I really want to take this cruise. I love the itinerary and am a bit concerned with Celestyal, but I'm willing to take the risk.
  19. Just wondering if anyone has sailed recently on Celestyal and can give a report on how they are doing after their latest shutdown. I have the 3 Continents cruise booked for November and am unsure if I want to keep the booking or give up. I was originally booked for November 2021, which was cancelled, then moved to March 2022, which was also cancelled. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
