I wondered because on the Magic I could never get a server to come to me so I would just go to bar. I just remembered though I had drinks on us “everywhere”   That’s why it worked for me.

Same on Dream, servers were scarce to say the least. We got tired of waiting and ended up just walking up to one to order 🤣

Drinks on us everywhere is the best 👍

Did you ever just try to go and order a drink at the bar?

For "Drinks On Us" thru the casino, you have to be sitting at a machine (and supposed to be actively playing, although the servers dont check) and order from the roaming servers in order to not be charged. At least thats what we were told on our Dream cruise 2 weeks ago from the bar staff when we just wanted bottled waters.

Ugh I'm sorry you had this. It's awful. Today I feel like I am on the upward slope. Still sick but it feels like it's better instead of worse at least. My extremely kind husband took the day off as a sick day so he can take our toddler to the Halloween Storytime today where the kids all get to wear their Halloween Costumes and do a costume parade through the library. (Neither of them seem to have gotten it thankfully) This cough is terrible but the Dayquil seems to have taken the edge off of it at least. I also took two Covid tests, one was yesterday, both were negative. So this is just some awful cold. On the plus side at least this happened before Halloween and not on it!

Thank goodness for awesome husbands 🙌 glad the Dayquil is helping even just a little bit, that awful cough is exhausting on its own!

Enjoy Halloween with your little one 🎃

This cold is the worst I have had in a very long time. I've taken nyquil and slept over 8 hours the past 3 nights and it just keeps getting worse. The cough is so bad now. I'm so sick of coughing.

Today I had to resort to watching ET The Extra Terrestrial [I checked with the toddler to make sure ET did not scare her. She said he was cute, so at least it didn't traumatize her. I legit thought ET was a scary movie when I was a kid because the only movies I knew about with Aliens were scary ones, and I was only 1 when it came out so I never watched it until Spanish class in HS]  and 2 episodes of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse because even though we try not to have our toddler get much screentime, I just could not do much today at all. Then we spent an hour talking on the phone with Grandma (My Mom) while she played with her cardboard slide [which if you know anyone with kids, the Pop Up brand folding cardboard slide is the best thing ever. It folds up flat when you are done using it so you don't have to have a giant plastic slide sitting in your living room all the time if you are short on space.]  and told my mom what she was doing and tried to show her things over the phone. Thankfully my husband came home early. But this is brutal. Apparently candy corn works as a cough drop if anyone else is desperate. I tried ricolas, spoonfuls of honey, hot tea.

I just got over the same thing! Whatever i got (not covid, tested when we got home) was from the 8 night cruise on the Dream bc it hit me on the very last night. The cough is ridiculous! Nothing helped it at all. I coughed all day everyday for a week. Finally, yesterday, woke up and no cough at all.

Hope you feel better soon! I feel for you having this AND having a kiddo to take care of as well 💜

Just witnessed the worst thing I’ve ever seen in my life. Lady on the Halloween aisle of Walmart knocked the car seat on the cart and her maybe 2 month old, that wasn’t buckled in, fell to the floor. It was horrific. The baby laid silent for what seemed like forever and then screamed. I think I’m gonna be sick.

    OMG! 😱

Sad news about my foster girl.  The shelter said the cancer has spread and it would be best to euthanize her.  They asked if I wanted to keep her through the weekend and do it on Monday but that is not what is best for her.  I'm going up there in a bit to be with her.

    😪😪😪

  8. We rented one from Sue & Joy Golf Cart Rentals. There are several golf cart workers offering rentals as soon as you get to the port area. Tons of golf carts available, no need to pre-reserve (im not sure you can pre reserve anyway?). Port is about a 15 min walk from the ship, or theres a tram you can take. Felt very safe driving all over the island, and felt safe parking and going into shops, to the beach, to the casino, etc. Ours was $100 for the whole day. Best way to see the whole island and many beach areas at your own leisure.

Thursday at the 'ol salt mine, and all I can think about is that awesome steak dinner this evening... Hopefully it lives up to the hype of a two hundred dollar dinner.

Yesterday after work, I was listening to a program on the radio, and they were talking about the lost submarine. They were opining on IF those people are still alive, what the conditions on board must be like. Remember, this thing is pretty small. There's no bathroom on board... I'll just leave the rest to your imagination... In my estimate, those people have been dead for a few days already...

I have read that there is a bathroom (well, its a toilet with a curtain) onboard.

This submarine thing is getting serious. Coast Guard is saying there’s only 40 hours of oxygen left. I couldn’t imagine being in there.

Omg me either! Seriously a horrific situation 😪

I guess that I should've taken a picture of the little metal stand inside the dish, and the pair of chopsticks holding the noodles up. It is a genius idea by the restaurant to get people to take pictures of their food.

Ok so I do see what you are talking about! Your other 2 pics have that metal stand in them. Very cool 👍

Something not cool is going on with @MeganGC1983. She abruptly stopped posting on her live review of Celebrity Millennium last night after stating her husband lost his ship card and someone picked up her phone. This either during or shortly after their day ashore in St. Maarten.

Ive been following her Live too, and am worried as well. Really hoping its just an internet issue, but idk, its been an unusually long time since her last post. Hope everything is ok 🥺

Kind of sad about the outcome of Survivor last night.  And that may have been the most confounding use on an advantage ever.

Me too! And how come the person who won the immunity challenge wasnt able to use it on someome else like they normally are allowed to if they want to??

  15. Bimini was 1 of our ports on our cruise 2 weeks ago. Our first time to Bimini. Absolutely loved it! You can either take the tram or walk (12 min) into the little marina type village area where there is a bar, a couple of resort- type shops, ice cream/gelato place, etc. There are also several golf cart vendors, ranging from $80-100/day for a golf cart. We rented one and drove alllll over the island. Hit 4 different beaches. Had some lunch. Visited the craft market (small).Very easy island to navigate and LOTS of cruisers using golf carts. One end is the Hilton Resort/Casino area and the other side is the actual town. Lots of bars/restaurants along the way. Beaches were gorgeous! Calm water. A fun, relaxing day touring the island on our own. Felt very safe the entire time.
