Thanks all! The credit card situation is covered (Amex Plat charges no foreign fees and I have a SW Visa that is the same, came in handy in France in July since Amex not popular there apparently). I appreciate the wealth of info. I fly out on Friday so not sure I'll be able to find a debit card before then but this is great knowledge for the future. I have never had a debit card (I don't think they earn points like CCs?) but might consider for next time!
Happy sailing!
Do you have an ATM card from your bank (non-debit)? That’s what we use and our bank reimburses fees.

I think of all us who have been Azamara fans for a long time have been told this by different staff members. I would love to see it as it would show that those in charge have a plan and a vision of what Azamara will look like in the future. Fingers crossed.
Yes-we’ve heard it at at least 2 Q & A’s in the past year!

This morning I expressed my Azamara concerns to my TA for a Dec 2024 cruise.
This was his response, "Those issues should be well ironed out by your cruise in December. We have had good feedback for the onboard experience aboard Azamara recently, actually, including some customers who are long time Azamara customers who were especially nervous about the transition."
I sure hope it is accurate and he's not just trying to placate me.
I changed TA’s recently. Before doing that, I asked my new TA if they had any issues booking and dealing with Azamara and she told me that they had no problems with booking Azamara.

I booked 5 additional cruises for 2024-2025 when we were onboard in July, because we really liked the itineraries and price was and inclusions were good. All we have down is the reduced deposit for onboard booking which we will put a credit card claim for if necessary.

Any recommendations for a two night stay precruise?
We’ve stayed at Hotel Santa Maria Trastevere several times.

Our transfer from Chioggia to
Venice dropped us off at Tronchetto and we had to take the People Mover to Piazzale Roma.

The HD told me last year that Cruise Critic used to supply the name tags and no longer do so. The Assistant AD stopped in at one that was on Quest earlier this summer.

Book specialties as soon as you board. Ask where the reservation desk is.
Usually in Windows on Deck 9

I haven't a clue about our nights and I am not sure I would be good at checking anyway. I always went on the basis of someone else will know the right figure! Wonder if I will ever know.....watches the tumbleweed creep over......
I keep a spreadsheet of our dates, number of nights, and points. We always stay in the same type of cabin.

It’s also best to book a cruise using free nights while on board, so you at least get the on board booking benefits.

I was on the same cruise as Phil and agree that the wi-fi was terrible. It was a Greece Intensive from Athens to Venice.

We just got off the Quest 7/26 and purchased the dining package that included 1 Chef’s Table, 1 night in Prime C and 1 night in Acqualina for $145 per person.

We didn’t have any cards on the bed on Quest last week, but they were in the back of the information book.

Just got off the Quest Greece Intensive on July 26-less than half full. However, the previous cruise and the cruise after ours were close to full capacity.
-
We stay at Hotel Santa Maria in Trestavere and walk to most places. We’ve taken Uber black car service a couple times.
-
We just got off the Quest and met many people who had never sailed with Azamara (we’ve been cruising with them since 2012). They all loved it and booked more cruises. Luckily, all our points and OBC were correct-had no problems booking shore excursions ahead of time using our OBC. We’ve already received the points for the cruise we just finished.

I'm assuming the bid prices depend on the class of cabin you're booked in. The thought is that it would cost more to move from an inside to a CC than to make that move from a balcony cabin.
The sheet we were given didn’t say-we were already in a veranda.
-
Currently on the Quest which is less than half full. They gave us a sheet when we boarded with offers to bid on upgrades-suggested minimum bid was $1500 for a club continent and $500 for a veranda. Sorry I don’t remember if it was per person or per cabin. They also had a bingo game for a specific club continent suite (one with a bathtub). Bingo cards were 3 for $35.

We just booked the 8/5 Montreal to Iceland - can’t wait! 😀
We booked that one yesterday too-currently on Quest so we got the extra on board booking benefits!

Just started to sail now. Check in was the best I have EVER done on Azamara. On the ship after 10 minutes at 12.15. No waiting. It's 40°+ here and Azamara instructed the port no waiting.
Normal lifeboat drill because of circumstances. I'm told 308 onboard. So quiet. Great to see some familiar crew faces.
Phil
We’re on the cruise also-got to the port earlier than our assigned checkin time and expected to have to wait around for awhile. We were pleasantly surprised to be on board so quickly!

Thanks Lisiamc but I am pretty certain that I checked under the lights and sides and top mof the lights which were slightly difference to the ones in your pics. Does not matter now as we managed to keep it all going on the one socket we took with us. But f we cruise again on quest I will certainly know where to have another look. Thank you for the pics.
We’re on the Quest now so I just looked under the lights next to our bed-there’s definitely a USB port there.

We have Magenta Max, so the roaming is high speed (unless you hit the monthly limit, then it slows down).
We’re boarding in Athens today using our Magenta Max plan overseas for the first time since we switched to it. I’m assuming we should still put the airplane mode on unless we’re in port in order to avoid roaming charges?

They also offer specials on multiple laundry bags sometimes. On our last cruise, they had 5 bags for $100 or similar.
