Thank you Sue. It took 6 and a half hours to drive the 315 miles from Southampton to Sunderland. Our cruise was delayed for 7 hours because cleaning wires became entangled in the propeller. We watched the divers going down from our aft balcony. We left after midnight and arrived In Amsterdam at 22.30pm. The ship left from Ocean terminal but returned to Mayflower terminal because Iona was at Ocean terminal on Saturday when we returned. Fortunately I parked in West Quay multi storey car park for 6 days costing £30 and we got a taxi back to our car.

I'm saddened to hear about Frans funeral service and yourself being ill and unable to attend. Father David presided over both Pauline and my mam and dad's funerals and came for lunch afterwards at a hotel we arranged for guests after the funeral. Father David made the service's so special. Graham.

That is excellent your husband is still the same weight that he was when you got married. Heart disease runs in my late mam's family. I used to work out with weights before my heart attack which helped me. I always carried aspirin and when I had a strange chest pain I took 3 Aspirin and went to hospital and the ER consultant told me the aspirin reduced the artery blockage and severity of my heart attack. Good evening. We have just got home after our short cruise to Amsterdam on P&O Ventura to celebrate Pauline's mam's 4th memory on her favourite ship. It is my birthday on the 27th so another reason to celebrate as well.

Good evening. We have just got home after our short cruise on Ventura to celebrate Pauline's mam's 4th memory. Ventura was Ruth's favourite ship and we took her on her last cruise for her 90th birthday over 10 years ago. Ventura left Ocean terminal after midnight because of cleaning wires entangled in her propeller. Our cabin was at the aft so we watched the divers going in the water several times. We arrived this morning at Mayflower terminal. We boarded about 12.45 and went to the My Holiday desk and booked 3 nights in Epicurean and 1 night in Sindu. We had 2 nights and a long day in Amsterdam.

P&O Ventura was Pauline's mam's favourite ship and we took her for her last cruise on her 90th birthday over 10 years ago on Ventura so for her memory we celebrated it on this ship.
