Sound like an awesome road trip! We love Baltimore and have been going there for 25+ years. Where are you staying tonight? There are so many good restaurants we love when there. here are some you may want to try: https://www.bobrooks.com/ 🦀🦞🦐 very nice setting located at a high end marina with yachts sales right next door. great water views and fun to look at the boats. Crabs are always good here along with everything else. Usually have a good assortment of oysters. https://nicksfishhouse.com/ Off the beaten path in an industrial - but right on the water and the place is always hoping. They are known for their steamed maryland blue crabs, everything is delicious here. Definitely one of our favorites. https://www.mccormickandschmicks.com/location/mccormick-schmicks-baltimore-md/ located on the water next to the lighthouse (behind Pier 5 Hotel) - great views of the harbor. https://mamasonthehalfshell.com/ this is located in a section called Canton - which is also nice to wander around day or night. I always love their Sunday Brunch too! So many places I could go on and on but these are 3 that are always go to at least once when visiting the area. IMO, Avoid Phillips Seafood - we have never been a fan of this chain for many reasons. I highly recommend you walk down to the harbor and board a water taxi. This a great way to see many different areas of Baltimore to figure out where you may like to go next time you are there. Fells Point is a lot of fun to bar hop (lots of nice dive bars) and/or food hop the various cafes. Lots of fun shops there too! Eric always jokes that I know my way around the streets of Baltimore better than I do at home. There is another excellent crab cake place we go to but in a very seedy part of town, I don't want to send you there and scare you off from all the beauty of Baltimore. We are in a JS on this sailing. We usually don't bother since we prefer to pick our own location but we may just have to submit a couple bids. Heck. Wifi for 2 devices costs more than min bids.

We had a wonderful time at our nieces picnic today. Beautiful sunny warm day, no humidity. parade this morning was one of the best i have seen in several years. I forgot my phone, so no photos. I'm currently on back patio watching one of our neighbors do an amazing display of fireworks. Next up is fireworks by the township to start at 930. Eric and his Brother walked down to the field in school yard a block or so to watch there. Carnival in town for the week started at 6 pm. Our street has been blocked off since 6 pm for traffic control.

Core gardening did great while we were away. We haven't had any rain since we came home last weekend and still looking good. Definitely saving on the water bill this summer.

Jewel offers a much better itinerary for the fjords, IMO.

Beautiful weather this morning for our local parade. It ends a block away from our house. Going to walk down soon as first of the parade should arrive in our area around 9:30. then we are heading to a niece's house for an afternoon picnic. HAPPY 4TH OF JULY! HAVE FUN AND BE SAFE😍

If a first timer to Aruba I highly recommend taking a tour of the island and see the other end of the island (desert like) near the natural bridge as well as a tour to California Lighthouse. The view from this area is amazing and there is a nice Italian restaurant next to the lighthouse that offers amazing sunset views with great food (if there at nighttime). Another nice place to go is Reflexions Beach Club http://www.reflexionsaruba.com/ they offer beach loungers for $6.50 pp and serve food and drink all day. This is a short taxi ride and when ready to leave they will call a taxi for you to return to the port.

Are you sailing and docking at port canaveral for a day? If so, royal does offer round-trip bus to Disney. You only get about 4 hrs at Disney depending on your arrival/departure time.

Public buses are another great way to explore. Usually $1 or $2 pp or the free trolley. They both leave near the port.

Fireworks have been going off since Thursday night in my neighborhood. Some nearby town did their display last night. I hear some now and hoping my cat gets home before they really start. She hates them!

Several years ago Eric found a box in the basement with some of my childhood items. My diary being one of them. I don't know exact age I started it maybe 6 or 7 yrs old. We came across several summer days where I simply wrote "Did the usual". He found this hysterical and really wanted to know what my usual was. Every so often he will say, I did the usual.
