I use both the pool and the lounge chairs in water. My favorite part of sea days.

Found this thread on my search for the retractable roof question. Wow, some people are insane. Sounds like jealousy to me [emoji848]

Set your clock back 1 hour on the first night. Time will still be 1 hour ahead of Roatan and Belize. Then on Thursday night (Cozumel) set your clock forward 1 hour.
Thank you very much!!

Hi everyone! Just woke up and had a random question running through my head (Mom problems [emoji849]) -- how many times does the time change on the Western Caribbean itinerary? Thanks in advance!!

Not quite sure what the allure of loungers in a pool of water is vs a bigger pool. That being said, the size of the pool is great for kids. Was never really crowded during our last Haven stay - the hot tubs can get over-run though. Certainly nothing like the main pool - no fighting for loungers! It's funny - no matter the cruise line, the biggest "recreational" complaint always seems to be the size of the pool. You would think that some bright engineering mind would find a good solution.

The loungers in the water are great for a parent to sit in while their kids are in the pool. Close enough to keep an eye on them and refreshing! They are my go-to seat!

If you request it. But the french press does not keep the coffee warm very long. Best if served hot at a table in the Havens Restaurant or in the Havens lounge.
If you go out into the courtyard when you wake up, a waiter can bring you a french press without having to sit in the Haven restaurant.

It's the perfect size for a child who isn't a strong swimmer. That's why we love it!

You were right. See guys clearing tables but no drink orders taken. Folks go to the bar and bring them up to deck.

We've had luck tipping a waiter/courtyard attendant at the beginning of our trip fairly well and asking him to look out for us in the courtyard and getting really great service. We spend alot of time in Haven courtyard so feel this was worth the extra tip at the beginning of the week for our family.

Heading to the Escape room soon. Have not been outside too much yet today. Very busy day!

I am looking forward to this on my next cruise. We are on the Escape in a few weeks. Did you reserve this at the Haven concierge?

I usually got the scallops or a salad with shrimp for lunch and a filet for dinner. I also loved the mushroom ravioli. My husband said the duck dish was also very good.

Cannot wait! Clothes are pressed and ironed and hanging ready to be packed. Got the toiletries out today. Wanted to do something to make me happy since this New York weather has been absolutely miserable! Have a quick four night JUGS Miami trip (Just Us Girls) with my mom and dd-23 in two weeks and then impatiently waiting for cruise!!
We are flying in day before. How about you?

Enjoy your trip and thank you for sharing with us! Im cruising Escape on July 8 with my dh and leaving the kids at home for my 50th birthday. We are staying in the Haven, Deck 17. Love the Haven. How is Rashada the concierge? Have you made use of the bar or restaurant in the Haven? Is the Haven bar open late? On Breakaway and Getaway I had wished they would be open later but there is always somewhere else to go.
Enjoy and cant wait to read more!

Hope your son is doing well. Nothing worse than when a parent watches their child suffering and feeling ill- especially with breathing issues. Sounds like you did all you could, and something on the ship was his trigger
Safe sailing

I've stayed at many older and newer hotels where I've gotten sick from the air conditioning/heating unit is what I believe it to be. But have never felt so bad on a cruise ship that I can remember. I hope your little one feels better soon now that they are off the ship!!

Thank you! He is much better now at home. Watching the Bruins game earlier like his usual self [emoji2]
Please no fighting on the post - that was not my intention.

Barky cough that sounds like a seal ..... is croup.... which is viral. So your child was probably coming down with something before boarding.
Sent from my iPhone using Forums
It was not croup. It was just a very dry cough from an asthma attack. He was not otherwise sick.

Hi all!! I'm sitting in my hotel room in Fort Lauderdale waiting for my alarm to go off to wake the rest of my family. Cruise morning tradition is to wake them all to a special song [emoji847]
We flew into FLL from Rhode Island on Thursday morning and have been having some fun in the sun the past 2 days, but are all anxious and excited to start the real vaca today!
We have a car service picking us up at 9:00 and heading to the POM!
I will try to make this a semi- live review but will do a complete review when we get home.
Let me know of any questions!
