  1. Thank you to the OP for your candid post. DW and i will be on the Freedom in Sept. You gave me some interesting insights. We will be eating in the MDR so the wait time should not be an issue. Was the APP highly used by you ? Was the APP required to get a breakfast table in the MDR ?

My Wife and I are on the Magic in a couple of weeks, my offer drinks any where.

it’s a casino offer, so I emailed casino they upgraded my wife to drinks when playing in casino.

Better to ask early then possibly being denied by casino host. Now just don't forget to go to the cashiers window and get your free $25 on your S & S card if your platinum

  3. Ok I'll admit i am confused at this point. My Carnival Freedom 5 NIGHT cruise leaves in 43 day's with the first stop being Nassua. Yes it's a 5 night cruise. Question were Nassua is part of the Bahamas do i need to test ? I thought i was good without the testing but Carnivals new Covid release has me mixed up.

    Any help will be welcome

This sounds like a great idea. Do you happen to know the casino email address? I’ve searched, but have found multiple suggestions.

i used casino@carnival.com the return came from Global Casino Services. I first got a reply saying a ticket was open and they would respond. A couple of days (4) later i got the email saying the extended the offer to my DW as well for our up coming cruise. I'll be bring it for sure. good luck. Make sure you include your booking number date of sailing and both you and spouses VFIP numbers.

We’ve booked a cruise online with a casino offer that gives us “free drinks in the casino for one”. My husband also had that offer available to him under his VIFP#. In later speaking with a Carnival vacation planner, she said because we both had that offer, we would both get “free drinks in the casino”. I’m not sure if this is correct. Can anyone confirm or clarify this? Thanks.

Make sure you print or screen shot your husbands offer deals. We were required on our last cruise to provide proof that we both had the same offer at time of booking. Once we showed the proof the Casino Host authorized the free drinks for my DW. I dont know if i did not have the proof if they would have given her the offer. For our upcoming cruise i have a copy of the email we received from the casino dept stating we both have DOU in the casino. From an email i had sent them.

This will be cruise number 22 and they first time I was offered an upgrade. They offered to upgrade to a balcony for $170 more for the cruise for both of us. Seeing as we paid $80 a person for an inside to begin with. Yes, I will take the balcony!

If i may what ship was it? I am sailing on the Freedom in Sept

I get all the casino rate specials... and am very familiar with how they work.

The one question I had was... how many rooms can I book under that special offer the the same sailing date

I am going to take my kids who all gamble as well.. so I am needing 4 rooms.

    Thanks

If you have a spouse who also has the offer you could each book a room. Then you just need to move around after boarding

The feature of the app on Mardi Gras to set up an appointment at Guest Services isn't supported on Freedom, but you can make reservations for other restaurants, buy shore excursion tickets, etc. on the app still.

Was the app required to get a table for breakfast ? on recent Mardi Gras cruise it was

That was my best VIFP benefit to date. You can bet I didn't donate it to the casino! I got the cash on the Miracle and the Splendor. On the Spirirt I got the slot credit. I don't know why some ships are cash and some are credit/chips.

well i'll see what the Freedom does as i am sailing on her in 58 days.

I have received 25 dollars cash twice and 25 dollar slot credit once. If you are getting the credit, I would do the chips instead of the slot credit. The slots just eat that right up. At least if you do roulette you can have a near 50/50 chance.

Nice that you got cash. Then you can use it on anything

Another question, this is my sons 1st cruise. Will he be grandfathered in as platinum because I am, or will he start at blue?

BLUE BLUE BLUE BUT if he is under your booking he will get to board with you as you get to check in 2 days early. Before covid he would have been able yo just board early with you.

So....do you mean any platinum goes over to the window and gets $25 slot play...free? Do they put it on your card?

Yes ANY platinum can go to the casino window and get their $25 in free play. Yes if you select slots they put it on your card if you want chips they just give them to you. Enjoy

I am currently gold status & exactly 7 points away from platinum status. We’re booked on a 7 day cruise this September. My brother tells me that Carnival will go ahead & upgrade me to platinum Status for this cruise. Is this true?

Yes and don't forget to pick up your perks including $25 dollar slot play or chips at the casino cashier window. They had stopped have slot tournament and were giving you $25 free if your Platinum or above.
