They only have a certain percentage available for pre booking and the rest will be open to book on ship. Look for the sign up table when you board or call the dining services? extension from your phone in your cabin. They usually do two seatings one day only. One at 8:30 and one at 9:45. Last October they said it was sold out, but I called and got us in for the second seating (which was too late in my opinion but better than not at all)

I sure hope you are correct. My June sailing on Venezia the Dr. Seuss breakfast has been sold out from posting. Hoping to take Grand Daughters to the breakfast ages 6 & 8. I have seen the table with the Cat in the Hat breakfast in the lobby on boarding day. Will be looking to book soon as on ship. Thank you for your info.

We don't go until June. I'm thinking we'll sit together, though. We've had tables to accommodate 12 in the MDR before.

Never been to one of these breakfast's before. Is it first come for tables or are they assigned ?

there is no drop down, no dates, no option to even see the days or make a reservation. Just a page with the info about the Suess breakfast. Seems like just a place holder for when they have the days and times set to sell.

Same with my June 2023 Venezia sailing No Drop down. Will have to try to book once on ship i guess.

I thought the same thing about my June cruise. I kept checking for that last sea day, when it is offered, and it still said "sold out". I had a large group to book (kids and grandkids included with hubby and me). When  I played with the numbers, I was suddenly able to book it! I booked us in two smaller groups,  and it went through.

Glad to hear you got it to go threw. I have been trying on Venezia ever sense they swapped the ship from Magic for June out of NY. Has said Sold Out and you cant even see different days.

Yes, now you can signup through the website just like the steakhouse/chefs table etc.

I can only hope it's available embarkation day. I usually see the the advertisement for the breakfast that day while boarding. Table setup with the Cat in The Hat center piece and colorful napkins.

  6. My wife and I are booked on this cruise along with our Grand children. driving to port of NY in am to board ship. Had originally booked Magic and had to wait threw room re assignment for both our cabins. Sorry did not have any paid dining booked. You should have a credit or received payment back on original payment method for your steakhouse booking.

Hi Cruise Critic family! Patti and I have begun a new adventure. We will be doing a S2S on the Freedom and the Spirit. No, this will not be a live review, but as usual, we will be documenting everything to present to you later. We will be enjoying sail away from our bowling alley balcony on deck 7, which will be facing Fishlips as we pass. We'll be waving to you all as we pass the ptz camera! 😁

It's Always a Pleasure hearing from the two of you. Look forward to your comments and Pattie's photo's

  9. Ok i may have blown it. Taking the Grand Children on their First  Cruise on June 19th on the Carnival Venezia. I got so caught up in the room re assignment that i missed the Green egg's and Ham breakfast signup. Sent an email to my PVP and he did say it was sold out for that cruise but to keep checking as people to cancel their cruises. Come on whats the chance if you have gone threw what we did with the Ship swap that someone is going to cancel now ? My PVP told me no waiting list. Any Ideas anyone ? Really wanted to take them. Age 6 and 8.

We are booked on the July 25th cruise, originally a Magic booking, through a casino offer. Stateroom is still showing as Suite (Ocean Suite) TBA. The other stateroom on the booking, for my daughter, son-in-law and two grandsons, is a Balcony cabin that was assigned a new stateroom # within days of the ship change announcement. I don't plan to make any additional payment or book a third cabin for my son who has now decided that he will be able to get time off to go until the Suite TBA has been assigned.

Yes i would not add any more bookings at this time. I finally got may 2 room assignments after calling my PVP. Hope the find you a Suite.

got my room assignment as well.  they moved me allll the way to the front of the ship.  now, i have no idea why i have never booked forward cabins before, but i've always done midship or aft.   please tell me that i'm going to LOVE forward.  i am literally the 4th or 5th balcony from the bridge (or the grayed out bridge looking thing on deck 8 😎 at the front).  should i keep this or beg to be moved back?

If you where Mid Ship on the Magic cruise i would be calling. I have never done that far forward on any cruise. Have done slightly aft on 2. Always concerned about noise. Good Luck with your choice

Okay gang! We got our new cabin assignments for our B2B cruises 9/8 & 9/16 yesterday as well. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, I was going to cancel these bookings anyway, as we have booked the 15 day journeys cruise leaving on 9/29. Nearly two years ago we booked the same bowling alley balcony (6499) for both legs of our B2B. On the Venezia, 6499 is the exact same cabin, in the same exact location as we had on the Magic, but on the Venezia it is considered a premium balcony cabin. Which brings me to my first complaint. Before booting us out of our cabin, how about a call giving us the option to pay the difference and keep the cabin. Nope, probably never gave it a thought.

Now, here is what they gave us. For the first cruise they gave us a regular balcony (6485) and it is a connecting cabin, something we never, ever book. I guess you can surmise that of course they didn't give us the same cabin for the second leg, even though the cruises were linked as B2B. They moved us from the back of the ship all the way up to the front of the ship into a regular balcony cabin (6243), which was also a connecting cabin. I guess most of the balcony cabins were pretty much gone if all that was left were connecting cabins.

Called my PVP this morning, and he was easily able to get both of my non - refundable deposits transferred to my new booking which really is all that I wanted at this point. He then officially cancelled the two bookings. He told me that at this point, he wouldn't have been able to book me in the same cabin for both legs anyway, and that's because they opened bookings up before everyone was reassigned. Carnival really screwed the pooch on this ship switch.

So for us it all ends well, but what if we were locked into those two dates like many people are. I would have been livid, and can't blame people for their frustration. I Hope it works out for all involved.

I know you will enjoy your Journey cruise and put all this in the junk pile.

I’m glad you don’t have to go through that headache. They moved me from forward side by side connecting balconies (not connecting cabins) on deck 7 to two rooms far from each other on deck 6. They told me that in order to put me on deck 7 it would cost me more. Anyways, I was able to get booked in 6454 and 6458. Looking at the deck plan, 6454 is above the Gondola Lounge but 6458 is above 5202 a Terrazza room. I’ve never been above or below anything other than rooms before. That’s why I had booked 7 on Magic. Not sure what goes on in the Gondola Lounge late at nights.

You can find your room location below:

    https://www.cruisemapper.com/deckplans/Carnival-Venezia-1651/deck06-5915

I hope they work out for you. Carnival allowing bookings before the full reassignment sure screwed a lot of us the had special request ( 2 rooms together or same room B2B )

Just as I called and was looking on my booking to give them my booking number I noticed that they assigned my cabins.  It wasn't there an hour ago. These cabins are not side by side balconies as I previously booked. Also they moved me from the 7th floor to the sixth so now I'm not between all cabin floors anymore. The person I spoke with was able to find me side by side balconies even though we don't know if these open up to each other like I had booked.

Are the cabin assignments you got back on 7? Six is right above a lot of activities and i don't know how the noise level will be. At least this dance is finally over for most of us.

Many of us have been waiting since November 14th for our new room assignment when our ship was changed from Magic to Venezia. I booked through a Carnival PVP and I called her a few times and she said there is nothing she can do to ensure I get my rooms assigned until the department that handles that take care of it. She found a couple rooms and tried to put me in them but the system automatically cancel them out because they notice from my VIFP number that I am already booked on this cruise. I noticed some people who booked through a TA were able to get theirs change through their TAs. I would have though PVPs would have more control than TAs. Can someone please let me know what's the pros and cons of booking therough TAs vs PVPs?

My sailing is June 2023. Called my PVP and he got my room assignments even though 1 of my rooms was still TBA. I would call your PVP and tell them others are getting there rooms and you would like to speak to a supervisor if they don't handle it for you.  Again Make The Call !!
