Here are some sample dishes from May 5, 2023 on Majestic. It was basically the first night of the official opening. Photos show three of the appetizers, one dessert. No main course pics, sorry. Group of five for dinner. Pals from university, back in the day...first cruise ever for two members of the group. We were having such an enjoyable time with our reunion among friends, I know that I enjoyed the company, the conversation, the wine and most of the food. Don't ask me for details of the food though. We enjoyed the setting, seated by the window, so much - we booked a second dinner there for the last night of the cruise. Enjoyed the second dinner as much as the first.

@Fishbone LOVE your reporting and pics. Thanks for taking the time. So nice to see that you and your family are exploring so much in AK. TIP- try wearing a toque, and gloves to guard your inner warmth. Adding a fashion scarf around your neck also helps. The bitter wind in AK is really cold! Last month when I was there, I purchased a fleece hat ( made in Canada- and I'm from Vancouver! ) with a native design. Kept me cozy enough through that wind in Icy Strait, GB and Hubbard viewing. Carry on! Have fun.

@Stealthdog Great reporting so far. Can't wait to read about your cruise. Bon voyage! Good luck at Canada Place today. May your lines move quickly through the ups and downs of the terminal. The process is ...what it is. We will be able to discern how your experience goes, if you make it into the dining room for the infamous embarkation lunch. Alfredos could be an option as well. Good luck!

@ldtrHollywood Conservatory did not appear to have any restrictions for children when I was on the Majestic in May. I found the pool area hot and stuffy as well. I walked all the way forward once. I like having the sanctuary placement there instead, like on the Royal Princess. As much as it is a decent indoor space for glacier viewing and such, I preferred to be outside.

@Nicole&Pete Coffee and Cones offers free soft serve AND specialty coffees. I haven't gone there myself...but I did see the menu on the PC website. On Majestic, specialty coffees are available at IC and on deck 7 at the Princess Live cafe. Free coffee - not brewed- can be found at the buffet and in the MDR Smoothies were available up to noon at the Wakeview bar. Go early! On Crown, they tell me juices can be found at Coffee and Cones. Hope this helps you. Bon Voyage!

@Nelsj099 Lovely reporting and photos. Thank you for spending the time to share your trip with us. I'll be on Crown in August. Have you been getting any coffees at Coffee and Cones on Lido deck? I just happened to check out a menu that is on-line on the PC website. It is showing ice-cream sandwiches made with various flavours of cookies and ice cream I have never seen that before . They also show a variety of frappes which are new to me as well. If you find these options, please let me know what you think. Xie Xie! -
You have several choices for mocktails aND the juices. Drinks included up to 15$. Try! Enjoy, cheers!

Coffee that you order at the IC, bakery on Lido, and Princess live on deck 7 are all available for a fee. Regular coffee in the buffet and in the MDR are included in your fare. If you purchased the PLUS fare, all of those beverages will be included. @LilMissK Bon Voyage! I see that you have the Plus package. All will be included, including the fresh juices at Coffee n cones on Lido. Enjoy!

Odd things we sometimes like to bring with us on a cruise
CruzeQueen2 replied to larrybritt's topic in Princess Cruises
@YehootuWhen were you on the Crown last? I'm getting worried about the condition of the mattresses. I may switch to another sailing on another ship. Crown has many pluses, over the Royal class ships, but a bad bed is not acceptable. TIA -
New Mattresses on Crown Princess? When?
CruzeQueen2 replied to cruizer2d's topic in Princess Cruises
@eclue Please report back here about the beds. Thank you! Good luck... -
@Shippy how are you finding the bed? Several here are reporting old and lumpy matresses. That would be very disappointing!
-
Sorry this has come out as several different posts... Where are the fresh juices offered? Is there a secondary location to get the specialty coffees in the mornings, besides the IC? @Shippy
-
Thanks for the info about monkey bread and the almond croissant. I love those two options as well.
-
Thank you @Shippy for taking the time to post about your experiences. Question for you - can you order a full pizza through room service? Is there a charge? Others have posted this is possible, without a charge. I'm looking forward to being on the Crown in August. TIA

Bon Voyage!

I used my OBC to upgrade to premier. Did this at GS as soon as I boarded. No issues. Easy.

Morning Crowd at International Cafe
CruzeQueen2 replied to charliedalrymple's topic in Princess Cruises
@charliedalrymple You can also get your specialty coffees from The Bakery on Lido, forward area of the buffer OR - my favourite spot on Majestic - Princess Live bar. Opens at 7:00am. Enjoy! Deck 7 - midship -
The Catch is now on the Majestic, deck 7, replacing Sur le Mer. Opened May 5th. Awesome setting. We were seated at the windows on two occasions. Did not find the Piazza activities to interfere with our enjoyment of the experience there. Food was great.

Beverages at the IC are offered for purchase. Tea and coffee are free in the MDR and at the buffet.
