  1. We were in the game several years ago. One of the questions was what is your wife's bra size? The older couple who were in their mid-late 80s had the best answer. The husband said "I know there is a letter and a number, so 3B". The audience just lost it, the wife just blushed. K2
  2. Thank you for the replies. @sprocket - we are actually getting off the Island Princess so not coming from LAX @scottca - just sent them an email - thx Karen
  3. Hi all Thank you for all the suggestions. Don't want to risk missing the boat (in more ways than one). I think our best bet is Uber after reading everything, I hadn't even thought of Uber don't have them where we live. I don't want to deal with LA traffic and not being sure where to exactly go would add more stress. Again thanks Karen
  4. I have booked a cruise ending in LA, trying to see if it is feasible to get from LA to San Diego to catch the Wonder that leaves the same day. If it is possible, any suggestions on how to get there? Really don't want to fly or rent a car. I have tried looking at shuttles but can only find from LAX, not the cruise port. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Karen
  5. We stayed in the Pan Pacific at the end of September. Beautiful location, pricey but worth it. There is a little tunnel that goes under the street between the PP and the Fairmont. Once thru you are in a little food court, which has several vendors and a pharmacy. K2
  6. She is Fortuna Luck - she calls bingo and other games. K2
  7. They just dropped everything off at once. They were masked but didn't stay. We still very much enjoyed the meal and the "spoiling". Karen and Kevin
  8. We just did the dinner on the Grand. They delivered everything at once to avoid excess contact. There were covers on everything and it was "not off the grill" hot but still warm enough. It was a fun experience, we were in San Fran looking over toward the Golden Gate Bridge. K2
  9. i was having the same issue. Talked to my TA, she called Princess and was told that the excursions for our May 2023 cruise would be out 180 days before. It just seems to be Alaska that it is an issue. K2
  10. We just did the UBD on the Grand last week. Will agree the food was amazing. You still do get the flowers, choice of cocktail and 1/2 bottle of champagne. They took several pictures and we got to chose one and if we wanted more had to pay for them. Karen and Kevin
  11. 2nd vote for the Irish Times. Karen and Kevin
  12. We booked at the Shopper's Drug Mart a couple of blocks from Canada Place, $50 a person results in 15-20 minutes. Karen and Kevin
  13. Hi IMO - The best Alaskan itinerary includes both the Inside Passage and Glacier Bay. We've gone up in early May and had beautiful weather and same with early September. Both of these are a little lower priced as well. May depending on which sailing everything might not be running 100% at the ports. September there will be a lot of "sales" in the stores before they close for the season. We did one in May that the ship didn't have any Alaska Brewing Company beer on board until we made the first port. LOL. As for choice of ships - you want a mid-size to get into GB, the mega ships cannot. Have fun planning. K
  14. Any AK cruise with Glacier Bay gets my vote. it is truly spectacular. We've have done Hubbard but couldn't get really close due to the amount of ice in the water. Cabin choice - we do like a balcony, just to have that extra space. Like to spend part of the time in GB sitting on the balcony watching the scenery go by. You will enjoy whatever cruise you chose. Karen and Kevin
  15. Beautiful pictures of Glacier Bay. This is also why I chose Crown. We have friend coming with us that has never cruised and I know she will be awed by GB. We've been into GB 3 times and it is always a wonderful experience. If all goes well we will be there June 8th. Crossing finger, toes, arms, legs etc etc 🙃 Karen and Kevin
