  1. I"m tired of waiting for my cards to be mailed to me. I ordered some cards over 2 weeks ago and still no delivery or tracking number. I did get an email from Rewards for Good 3 days after ordering them that because of the $ amount they would be mailed signature required. Someone is always home at my house but mail man hasn't brought them.

  2. Can you pack some in your carry on?

Yes, carton, packs several packs, few cartons, checked luggage too. Carnival doesnt care. you can buy them in port and bring them on board too but they say your limited on how much you can bring back to the US through customs but its very rare customs will search your luggage to see if your bringing back more then your allotted.

  3. Wondering how this affects ships in that area now???

not much ships can do about tsunamis, they can’t out run them or get out of the way. Best I think they could do is point the ship directly at or away from the epicenter so the ship is perpendicular to a potential wave coming at them. Even then most tsunami waves out at sea are just a big swell and might rock the ship more then usual.

  4. From what I’ve been reading is so far tsunami buoys near by have not reported anything yet. The epicenter was well off shore and no imeadiate reports of any damage on land have been reported. If there is no major tsunami then it’s not going to effect much of anything. Cruise as usual I’m sure.

  5. Does anyone know the fastest way to rack up points? Want to payoff my cruise, tips, cheers and a little extra.

Log into your rewards for good page and click on earn points button. Do the quizzes and watch videos to earn points, also check your email daily as they send emails out with a promo code that you input to earn 150 points for each code.

Does anyone know how long it takes for mail delivery of the cards? I ordered 2 cards the Friday before New Years, received my confirmation email and then Tuesday after New Year’s Day I got the email saying thank you for the recent order this is to inform you your order will be delivered signature required. I have not received any tracking number or anything else that they have shipped or been mailed. We are now a week and a half since ordering and still no cards or tracking number. There is no tracking on the rewards for good site under my points history and order either. What’s been the usual time frame of the delivery from AARP site?

  6. They actually prefer US dollar to Pesos. Its a free trade country and they/merchants get more or make more if you pay by US dollar. Credit cards, dont use them at a ma and pa shop or hole in the wall store. to much of a risk that a shady shop after you leave the store will re-run a transaction on last swiped card for more money.

  7. You will have $.20 left over. I would just toss it after that. I don't think they can add something that low to your account.

Cool, Thank you, cause i'm going to get some $500 cards tomorrow and use one to pay off the balance. Other cards will be for our OBC. i'll keep the E-Card until after our cruise JUST encase we have to cancel for some unknown reason.

  8. West Bay beach area. HUGE coral reef just off the beach and tons of fish. You dont need to wade out very far and you'll see fish all over. If you bring some frozen peas then you'll be surrounded by fish. There are many day resorts up and down West Bay beach. Towards the southern end is the best area for fish, coral in waist deep water. There are lots of place along the beach you can rent snorkel gear for cheap and I highly recommend doing some snorkeling in this place. go out as deep as you want from waist deep to 10-20 feet and you'll see some of the best snorkeling in the Caribbean. The depth of the water very gradually gets deeper. I've been 50 yards off the beach and could still stand on my feet. I've been 100 yards off the beach and been in 10-20 feet of water. but the further out you go the better the fish and coral get.

sorry about all the ads that pop up on photobucket page. their site is horrible for hosting photos anymore with the ads. i'm working on getting a new page going with another photo hosting site.

  9. Dont really want to get off subject but mitsugirly I have a question. Your salt water aquarium, what kind of filter do you use? Standard wet dry sump filter? or do you use one of the new canister style filters like this Penn Plax Cascade canister filters?

I'm really looking at getting a saltwater coral reef aquarium again. I had one years ago and still remember all about them on maintenance, care, chemicals needed but I know filter technology has come a long ways in the last 15-20 years. I used a 15 gallon aquarium with dividers and different chambers with pre-filter, bio-ball chamber then charcoal, phosphate and then into a sump and pumped back up into the aquarium. But i get worried when I'm reading about the new canister filter theres a couple reviews were the reviewer said when the power goes out the canister overflowed. to me it sounds like operator error maybe with having the siphon tube or overflow cup in the aquarium submerged to deep. just wandered if you had any experience with the newest latest and greatest in filter tech?

    Thank you in advance.

  10. definitely not in a U.S. port, never heard of this, but maybe once in international waters.

With Carnival not even in International waters or any foreign port Must be 21 to drink at any given time on the ship. Some cruise lines I think like Norwegian cruise lines will allow 18 and older to drink ONLY with parents waiver form.

  11. Geez, I meant the TG-5. Don't know why I said HG.

Yes, all cameras need a housing to go deeper than 50-60', even yours. The buttons and seal are not good down at a deeper pressure. You will get a leak, or buttons will freeze and not push in at all. Olympus makes housings for all of their good cameras, like the TG series. If you plan to dive deeper than 50' I would suggest you get one. They have them on most camera sales websites and Amazon, etc.

I just looked on Amazon at the housing for the Olympus TG cameras that allows it go to depths of 150 feet. OUCH!!! pricey housings arnt they? Almost $400 for a housing?? The camera itself cost that much. LOL.
