Flying Southwest, so definitely checking. I can’t live that carry on life. I’ve tried and realized I was only trying to fool myself. 😆 So many people say they over pack for cruises… I am not one of them.

I said what I said about gaining weight, however I do have some “must eats”. Chibang for lunch because I miss Mongolian Wok. First night dinner is Teppanyaki… a work dinner, so gotta do that. And I need Shaq’s Big Chicken because it’s the cruise ship version of the Lord’s chicken… Chick-fil-A and it’s even open on Sundays. Thanks Shaq!

Mark it down! Another chocolatini earned. I’m really going to attempt to not gain 3-5 lbs this cruise. That’s kind of the norm. There will be more stairs taken, the gym will be used and I won’t finish ALL the desserts. Now to pack the kids.

San Juan is easily doable walking and stopping at Barrachina for a pina colada and Racies for food. Also the street market has great food trucks. In St. Maarten, I would go with Bernard’s tours or head by taxi to Grand Case on the French side. Snorkeling is not great in SXM, but that beach or Mullet Bay… both are beautiful and have great lolos for food and beverage options. At Mullet you can see the planes coming in at Maho nearby.

Not on this sailing. She doesn’t get that much time off. She works for the Dept. of Defense. She went on the January sailing on Valiant Lady. We just went on a birthday weekend to NOLA 2 weeks ago, and she’ll sail with me on my group sailing for Valentine’s Day 2024 on the Brilliant Lady. They really like Virgin. She went on the Carnival Valor 5 years ago with us, and she got “seasick” after really enjoying Cozumel. We’ve talked about taking the kids on a Disney cruise once her son is old enough to remember. She’s big into HALLOWEEN… like has all the yard and house things from Home Depot, Lowes, etc. I prefer to cruise lol

Snap shot of my life… my “younger” sister is constantly mistaken for me all the time. People think I’m her occasionally. We probably have this conversation once a month at least. Sometimes I know who she’s talking about. Others, like tonight, I have no clue. Even looked him up… I got nothing. But I do hope he’s doing well. Do you really think we look that much alike? Yes, she’s amazing. All of the grandparents are. My kids basically have 4 sets due to divorce, but they share responsibilities. The others take them on the weekends and pick up from activities, stuff like that. My MIL is really supportive of me working, which is important. She knows this goes along with the territory.

I’m ready to fast forward through tomorrow. Yet I still have to pack my kids for their week at my MILs. 🤦🏼‍♀️

It’s been a fun day at work. Had a long phone conversation with a boss. Got the majority of my packing done. Now waiting on the bus for the kids. It’s 5 o’clock somewhere. Just one glass of Chardonnay won’t hurt. Heck, it might help since tomorrow is spelling test day for my son. 😆

We went to Paradise Beach with the kids last year on the Ecstasy. It was fun. Ready to see a comparison.
