About and hour before landing, we got these chicken and leek hot pockets and I’m gonna have to find this Monty guy.

The food was good but far between. The pretzels and the first meal came back to back… then it was a LONG 6 hours before the next time we were offered even a drink. The cheese and crackers are the best part… and the dessert. That rice and yogurt thing, hard pass.

Flight was long. I didn’t sleep. I watched 4 terrible movies and played trivia… well Ticket to Paradise wasn’t bad. Everything everywhere was just odd and Spoiler Alert was sad. I watched a bit of Violent Night. Yikes. Oh and Women Talking was GREAT!

Nope. A couple of bags and 2 people was enough.

People still filing in. I’m charging and movie selected. 9 minutes til take off. I wonder what they are doing below us. It’s weird knowing they are down there, and there’s much more of them. That seat map had way more options than up top.

There’s two couples, at least, that were rescheduled from yesterday’s storms for today. They were booked business class on the original flight, and today, they are sitting in lowly economy. They are not happy. The FA has asked the FA manager, and she’s telling them they have to take it up with American Airlines which is who they were booked to fly with yesterday. Airlines are fun, y’all.

This is happening first. Then hopefully sleep. YAY 10.5 hour flights.

This plane is a BIG BOY! They all ready said over 400 passengers. Boarding has started for families.

It’s so much fun seeing this part of the world. We will definitely be back if not to Greece, but for sure a sailing from Italy or Barcelona or both.

I didn’t eat all my lunch at one time. It was a kebob and half a pita here and there over 5ish hours. The pizza was because I knew nothing would be open in the UK in the area of our hotel. That pizza fueled me a full 10+ hours and all the walking this morning.

Our plane is here. Our crew just boarded. Let’s do this. Ready to gain some hours and be back in the USA. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

That time we got kicked out of Westminster Abbey… and DH still took pictures. 🤦🏼♀️

They just posted we will depart from C. So back to waiting on transit.

After our previous layover here, I feel like terminal 5 and I are BFFs. But it is very crowded today. It’s probably because I’m sober.

Through security and shopping. Got the kids shirts and my Freddie mug.

I’d like to come back and ride a hop on, hop off bus and have a good time in a pub that’s not in the airport.

Overall, I feel good about our “14 hours” in London. With the storm delay, and the missed tube, waiting on a car, the 14 was really 12. Then add a few hours of sleep and now getting back to the airport, we covered a lot of ground. Saw the main highlights. I’m sure we will be back eventually. It needs proper time.

Mr. Megan made the call of just Uber-ing back to Heathrow. He’s ready to not walk anymore and get home. 😆 the FREENOW app has been great, but we have noticed in London it’s best to comparison shop between it and Uber.

Smallest elevator I’ve ever been in. Max capacity is 4 people.
