NCL is not as dressy since they instituted Freestyle Cruising. A nice pair of black pants and a dressy top is all you would need to go anywhere on the ship. For him, slacks and collared shirt. I wouldn't wear sneakers, but nice rubber soled shoes are ok.

We upgraded from a SS to an NS for $1100 for two, and they gave us $400 extra onboard credit. So, it really only cost us $700. We will use that credit, plus the $200 from Cruise.com for most of our shipboard costs.

I like a few drinks a day, but my husband cannot drink due to health reasons. I faxed a letter from his doctor, and was able to purchase the drink package for only myself.

Just wanted to let people know who may not be able to drink.
