  1. Since I won't carry the medallion how will they know where to find me? :p

Well they will know you are not in your room because you will not be able to get in without the medallion!

  2. Being a good husband I get up at 6, take my Princess mugs and transport myself to deck five, get them filled, leave a tip and transport myself back to our cabin - a ten minute run - we have that in our room then get them filled again when we go down for breakfast. One more tip - we like the flavored creamer so we get the quart bottles at the Publix and keep them in our frig.

OH - we do get a coffee card

  3. I won't disagree that washing your hands with soap and water is an effective method--maybe the most effective method--to prevent the spread of infection, but, I just really doubt that, when a passenger drops by the buffet mid-afternoon to "just grab a snack," the handwashing that he/she did an hour ago is still effective.

This is why the buffet entrances on the Royal and Regal have handwashing stations

Captain Tony Yeoman told me the same thing

  4. If you are on medicare and supplemental nothing will be covered while on a ship no matter where it is - s Princess insurance is very good and is affordable - like 8% of the cruise fare and pays promptly after you get a statement from mediocre and your supplemental. GO and have a good time

  5. There are two types of OBC - refundable and non-refundable. They use the non-refundable first. If you have refundable left they will send you a check - if you have non-refundable left it expires at the end of the cruise - so spend it while on the cruise.

  6. Booking a guarantee cabin or staying on the upgrade list is like opening up a box of chocolates - "you never know what you are going to get". My advice is to book a cabin you will like and stay with it.
