  1. Fair. On Allure it was bright enough to read comfortably without straining. Are you suggesting it is probably best to bring some lights?
  2. My wife and I will be cruising on Rhapsody in March in an aft balcony room with our 3 year old toddler. We plan on spending time on our balcony with books and wine after putting her to bed every night. Is there enough light out there for this, or should we plan on bringing some led lights with us? Our only other experience with any balcony was a Central Park balcony on Allure. We were one floor under the pool deck and there was plenty of light to read by. But this room is obviously different in many ways.
  3. I have never been of the All Access Tour (have had it scheduled twice, but they were both cancelled), I imagine it is similar (of course without the brunch and alcohol), but someone who has done both would be able to answer your question better.
  4. Bumping this in the hope that someone answers. I was specifically told by Royal Customer Service that these tests could be used for our 3 year old next week in Amsterdam and I would like to know ASAP if I need to make other plans.
  5. Thanks guys! My wife is no longer freaking out about packing our swim vest.
  6. I know the website says that swim vests are available fleet wide, but can someone who has been on Jewel since the restart please confirm? Our potty trained toddler is very excited to be able to swim on this cruise (after only being allowed in the splash area on the last one) and we would prefer to not have to take a swim vest in our luggage.
  7. Thanks for the response. I think she will be fine if we walk around a little bit, do the train tour, and then find a quick bite to eat. Just looked at the museum’s website and the childrens area looks interesting, adding that to our maybe list.
  8. I’m sailing on Jewel out of Amsterdam, leaving August 19, and so far everything still mentions testing (no more than 2 days before for vaccinated guests, no more than 1 day before for unvaccinated). Been keeping an eye out since other cruise lines announced they were dropping the requirement.
  9. @Guernseycruiser We will be visiting St. Peter Port next month, 4 adults and 1 three year old toddler. We are looking at doing the Petit Train, am I correct that we can not book these tickets in advance, but only at the port? Do you have any suggestions of what to do after that tour that will keep our toddler engaged.
  10. We will be docking in Queensferry on Sunday, August 21st. What is the best way to get for 4 adults and a toddler to get from there to Edinburgh? Trying to avoid long lines and waiting so busses and trains are not on the top of our list, but we will consider them if there are not better options. Are there taxis when we get off the ship that a toddler can ride in? Are there any companies we can pre-book our transportation with?
  11. The oasis escape room is a minimum of 6 and maximum of 12. You just sign up with however many are in your group and they will pair you with others.
  12. Just completed the escape room on Oasis this week (and with over 7 minutes to spare, the staff member told us it was the fastest he had personally seen). My wife and I do a lot of escape rooms, we are snobs, and both of us thought it was incredibly well built (and actually quite challenging). Oasis also had a Museum Heist Puzzle Competition (made by the same people who do the escape rooms). It was really cool, except that one of the clues, which is vital to completing the puzzle, was missing from a bunch of the group bags. When we asked the staff they said they were aware of the problem and waiting for replacements. Really wish they would let people know a piece was missing and at least have a picture of it available to look at.
