  1. I love the picture of the flying flamingos too (great idea for a circus act name!). My husband's hobby is bird photography and he has huge lenses. I'm very lucky because my passion is to see places and he wants to photograph every possible bird in the world so cruising and land tours give us both chances to follow our passions.

  2. So many amazing photos so thank you for making this very strange 'travel-less' time more bearable!

We haven't visited many Ws but here is what I have.....

Fred Olsen, Boudicca, Wewak, Papua New Guinea....The local people were so pleased to see ship arrive and they gave us a fabulous welcome. I love Fred Olsen's small ships because they can get into such unusual ports and they have great itineraries. I loves Adonia for the same reason.

  4. well.....we are nearing the end of the alphabet and I have searched my photographs for 'U' ports but could only come up with Ushuaia which is on the southern tip of Argentina. We visited there on Star Princess in 2013. I'm posting a few pictures of the area as well as the ship.....

  6. more amazing photographs of the S ports. I have to say that we have enjoyed our visits to both Salalah and Safaga. We are countryside people and always try to get out of the port areas so here are a few of our adventures.....I thought the coastline away from Salalah port was stunning

  7. in reply to Emam,  Dermotsgirl has got it just right as far as dressing for the weather on cold cruises. We have thermal underwear and thick jackets so often sit out in sheltered places. Both P&O, NCL and Fred Olsen provided blankets and came round with hot drinks. A cold climate cruise is such a different experience but so rewarding.

Now here are some R ports

Fred Olsen Boudicca, Reunion Island 1 & 2

    MSC Armonia, Roatan, Honduras.

    Ocean Princess, Rouen, France 4 & 5
