The operational reason on the trip we did was that they had not been able to secure a license from the relevant country to operate the submarines in their waters. It happened a lot on that trip; quite simply a lot of countries will not give permission for submarine use.

We had caviar on the Venture on many occasions, including several nights in the restaurant when we swapped caviar for the appetisers on the menu. We thought for the main part that the food in the restaurant was excellent, although we also loved sushi in the club. There was a large group of us who fancied a sushi lunch one day and they were very happy to serve us a fabulous array of sushi in the Restaurant. We found the crew to be incredible flexible, so if there is something particular or special that you want then just ask.

We were on the Venture cruise at Boca del Toro too. We did an excellent culinary excursion, visiting an up and coming local chef at his restaurant on a neighbouring island and doing some cooking followed by a delicious lunch. One other option was a walking tour around the town and there was also a chocolate/coffee tour as well, I think.
