  1. we were in the lowest category ( 2037) and had plenty of room for storage.  My husband is tall enough to use the top shelf.  You will have more drawers.  All cabins are convenient for moving about the ship.  We liked being low and mid ship better for the Drake Shake!  We felt that these staterooms were a bit bigger than Ocean Ships.

You will have a great time I am sure.  There are great discussions specific to Viking on the other Social Media page.

And now with the new earlier excursion booking dates for trips beginning  after June 1, if you are on one whose  first part starts in May (under the old rules-later excursion booking dates) you are really out of luck.

I must have missed that there are earlier dates for booking excursions?  What are they or where can I find that information?

  3. viking's Expedition team was extraordinary ( although I have no comparisons) and were so very knowledgeable.  The ship is very comfortable and food was better than the larger Ocean ships.  The entire crew was friendly and willing to help anyway possible.

  5. Other than the $1000 off if I have a booked cruise,  I am not finding any great deals on cruise fares mostly FREE air.  Is there a better place than the traditional Viking website I should be looking?

Haha, pretty rough around California these days.  Hope it settles or us World Cruisers will be feeling the shakey shake sooner rather than later.  🍸

I hope it settles too for all of you.  Don't remember stormy seas when Pat and I were with you on that first WC.  We did miss the cook islands and Napier as I remember for bad docking conditions but not lots of rocking and rolling....we are hoping for a "Drake Lake" as we head to Antarctica in a couple of weeks!

  7. Pushka,

I am so sorry that you missed SO VERY much of your cruise.  it sounds the worse ever....I hope you get adequately compensated but I amnot sure that is even possible considering the great distance you traveled.  It seems that the weather this winter season and high water levels was so much worse than ever before.

Now that Christmas is over we are ready....  Our bags are in LA and all we have to do is pull Bama through in the playoffs.  Roll Tide!!  Hope to have a celebratory martini at the Atrium Bar as we get settled in with all the rest of the World Cruisers.🍸

    Jim,

I don't think we have EVER disagreed previously!!!  Now is the TIME....GO BLUE!!

  9. You are all  so very lucky having Mike Seigal ( and his wife Wendy) as your resident historian!!  His lecturer are very good!  If he does a tour of the Bayeaux Tapestry from the staircase walls do participate.  They are excellent company, try and have dinner with them!  They are great escorts on tours too!

Lucky to have Bruce as your CD too.  Wait until you hear him play the piano!  We were on his first Viking Cruise on the Jupiter.  He was interviewed for  a recent Viking promotion brochure on World Cruises.
