While the 2 center seat aren't really designed for couples seating, we prefer them.  It just seems less odd to have a stranger across the aisle rather than just on the other side of the armrest area.   And if we do lean over/around to talk to each other, we aren't leaning over an aisle and making our conversation much more public in the process.

Thank you for the insight, much appreciated. Enjoy.

  2. I thought you two would come thru, thank you. And you hit it re privacy. Thinking about placing the dw at window and I taking a center aisle...though was curious of the opposing aisle with stranger. Then again, have also considered grabbing two center aisle...not much to see on a overnight flight.  I'll continue to track down YouTube or any other useful images. Thanks  again. Enjoy.

  3. This is equipment listed for our ATL-LHR flight this Summer.  DW and I are going to book Delta One, which we have no experience with this type seating arrangement.   My question...which would better suit two flying together...two window seats, window and ajoining aisle seat  or two aisle seats side by side? Thoughts. Enjoy

  4. wow, I'd say that's a decent description :D:D:D. Thank you! It appears to be, but is the walk to/from cabana/beach fairly short and easily done? We have one in our party with slight mobility issues and wanted to inquire. Thanks again. Enjoy :)

  5. You would have a great time though as others have pointed out, don't compare it to the Oasis. We sail all lines for various reasons...ship, itinerary, cost, departure port, etc. Also as mentioned compare the cost and logistics of boarding each. Personally, for us, it's not worth the additional $$'s, RCL has alot to offer though many of the activities/venues we do not partake in. IMO, I think it is very difficult to compare any ship to the Oasis class other then another RCL ship. Carnival has a great product for the money and I say go and reach your own conclusion. Enjoy :)

  6. Given the choice, I would take the non-stop to ATL every time. MIA can reliably be expected to be a zoo, and I agree with 6rugrats that two hours isn't really long enough. The last time I arrived at MIA (back in January), it was 75 minutes from aircraft arrival at gate to exiting from customs - and that was rather less than some of the horror stories that I have heard, and less time than some MIA experiences that I have had.

Don't count on being able to do this, or to do it at a reasonable cost, or to do it in advance. It's not only a question of what booking class will be used by EZair, but also involves questions like whether the fare is one that BA will allow you to upgrade. In addition, BA may not allow you to upgrade until the ticket has been issued, which might not be until a couple of weeks before your outbound travel. By then, any cheap upgrade opportunities may have long gone. It is always possible that you will be able to get a special offer upgrade when you get to the airport, but you can't predict in advance whether that will be on offer or what price it will be.

Understood and thank you. Was somewhat afraid this may be the response. We did get caught up in similar scenario few years back, different cruiseline/airline, and was hoping things may be different with other players in the game. Thank you again for your insight, always appreciated. Enjoy. :)

  7. We're looking at these for a Norwegian Fjord cruise next year. Have one in place for this summer but due to medical issues we're going to let it go (on Crown, B755).

Regarding the aft facing on Sapphire....

    - D740/741- they are next to a large white space which is a concern. Any issues?

    - C748/753- appears there is a stairwell next to cabin which spans from deck 12 down to 8 (or possibly 7). Perhaps for emergency use only, crew only? Albeit, we would rather not listen to a stairwell door open/close if this is used regularly by crew or pax.

    TIA for any thoughts. Enjoy:)

  8. Another off topic question...if we book BA economy via cruiseline roundtrip, will BA allow us to upgrade to premium economy for the flight going over? The Princess EZair won't allow you to choose each class individually, only roundtrip. TIA

  9. Sorry for the confusion:o. My fault, I'm actually looking at two different scenarios. The 'twin' is would be a direct flight back to ATL from LHR (on the 777) that we are considering. Secondly, we're considering the route thru Miami that is a totally different flight which are questioning the connection times in MIA (should we book this on the return). Yes, the LHR-MIA-ATL would be on a 747 to MIA, 737 to ATL. Thoughts on the twin seating and thoughts on the 2hr connection in MIA? TIA

  10. This would be on a 777-300, ATL-LHR and return LHR-MIA-ATL. We're going to go World Traveler+ going over and select seats on row 23/24. On the return we'll be in economy:(. Curious if anyone has experience with the 'twin seats' on rows 49/50?

Additionally, we'll be returning thru Miami on the return, our connection is 2hrs. Will that be enough time to collect bags, immigration, etc? Thanks for any input. Enjoy:)

  11. They do not. But as Flyertalker has pointed out, there are other potential snafus that could get in your way. If they occurred, you'd have no recourse and no way to insist that they get you to Atlanta, because the ticket you bought would only promise to get you to MCO.

Thanks for the info. Diversions are a real possibility, recently, ATL had a ground stop totaling 5 hrs between two days (or may have been one day) due to severe storms. Many flights turned upside down. Thanks again:)
