  1. Thank you. I've heard that about the taxi union. How easy is it to find a pedicab to take us from Marina to Medano if you know? My husband (who doesn't swim) would rather avoid the small boats plus we have a young child which may make it difficult (although he knows that we have to tender off our cruise ship...🤪). Thanks
  2. Thank you; so we wouldn't have to waste our free minutes to use imessage from iPad? We have Android phones (we weren't going to be carrying around our ipads outside the room most likely) so I assume then we cannot text each other from our android phones onboard even with the basic internet package?
  3. We are staying at the Crowne Plaza this week for our cruise and I believe they have a parking area for cruise goers. Crowne Plaza and Double Tree are the only real decent hotels in San Pedro.
  4. I'm not sure what the NCL transfer price is but we are sailing this week and taking a Lyft ride from LGB to the Crowne Plaza which is right near the San Pedro port. I read it's about a $30 fare one way but I will confirm that after our trip. I imagine NCL charges a lot more than that (as it is per person).
  5. Thank you. Our cellphone provider (Verizon) said we can use wifi texting/calling so I assume that will work just as well? (of course, our phones will be in airplane mode so we do not incur any data charges!).
  6. Also, if we decided to do land transportation to Medano from the Marina instead, is a Pedicab or regular Cab an option? Thanks
  7. Thanks everyone. Another option we're thinking about (since my son has never been to a beach) is to go to Medano Beach...do we just take a water taxi from the tender area?
  8. Hello: My husband and I both have the 75 minutes each basic internet for our Bliss cruise next week. Few questions: 1) Do the 75 minutes we each have limited to 1 device each (or can I just both my phone and iPad?)? 2) When we went on a Princess cruise a few years ago, there was a messaging app where we could message each other onboard. I thought I read somewhere that you had to pay for this on NCL? If so, would our 75 min free allow us to send each other text messages (via Android phones)? 3) Do we login/logout through the internet browser or the NCL app? Thanks
  9. Hello: We are arriving on Tuesday on our NCL cruise. We have a 4 year old in tow and was wondering what the easiest way was to get to the beach...water taxi? I assume Medano Beach would be the best beach to go to. What is the typical water taxi fare (do they accept USD or just Pesos?) how long is the water taxi ride to Medano? Thanks
  10. Hello: Headed to Cabo next week on our NCL Bliss cruise. I was hoping to obtain some pesos, mostly for tips, small purchases, etc. Does NCL have a currency exchange onboard or is there a currency exchange area near where we tender? (which I imagine would be a better exchange rate)? Thanks
  11. Does anyone know the cost of the thermal spa (for a day) on the Bliss? We are going next week. Do they let you purchase just for one day or are you obligated to buy for all week? Thanks
  12. Hello: I was wondering if one can book an excursion (that is no longer available online) while on board? Did they keep spaces open? We are in Cabo next week and both the whale watching tour and coastal deluxe cruise show as unavailable on NCL.com. And if I do onboard , will they automatically subtract the $50 excursion credit that was part of the promo? Thanks!
  13. Thinking of self disembarking next week at San Pedro after reading all this...what's the latest they let you stay on the ship if you self disembark? thanks
  14. We are going next week (with a 4 year old) so I can let you know after about the Splash Academy and kids stuff. I do know that all restaurants have a kids menu with the usual kid food (chicken fingers, mac and cheese, etc.).
  15. Any where to obtain the dallies for the Bliss 5 day Mexican Rivera? We go next week. Thanks!
  16. Which dining room was open on the Bliss? (we go next week). Thanks!
  17. We sail the week before you (22nd) on the Bliss and are also staying at the Crowne. I will check back in if we take the shuttle and let you know the process. Have a nice cruise!
  18. Sorry if this has been explained as I'm still confused...so is B92 the main area that does NOT require the shuttle? It looks like the Bliss is leaving from B92 next week but then on the 27th (disembarkation) it is at B50 (so we need to shuttle then)? Thanks
  19. Thank you all. May I ask what time you recommend as the earliest time to be safe for a tour... 1 p.m.? (ship arriving into Cabo at 11 am).
  20. I'm sorry to hear that but glad you enjoyed your cruise. We are sailing out of that Port next week (Bliss) so I am hoping it will be better. Based upon the scheduled posted above, it appears that the Bliss is the only ship at Port that day so I would imagine no shuttle would be necessary (one would hope). May I ask what time your check in time was although I know they really don't check those. We have the first check-in slot and will have a small child with us so I hope we do not have the same difficulties as you. Thank you for sharing your experience.
  21. Hello: I had a couple questions about the tender experience onboard the Bliss in Cabo. 1) Is it first come first serve to reserve your tender tickets? Do you just do that at the kiosk? 2) Our ship does not arrive in Port until 11 am; I assume the earliest tour we should book is 1 p.m. to allot for tender time? Do you think a 12 p.m. tour would be too early? There's a few interesting whale watching/pirate ship tours (non-NCL excursions) that look great but the latest time they have would be 12 p.m...just not sure how fast we could tender (we have a 4 year old in tow as well). Thanks!
  22. But they will only add an additional 20% gratuity (above what we already paid pre-cruise) to SURCHARGE ITEMS, not what would be included under the FAS items allowed, correct?
  23. We have the 2 "free" specialty meals on our Bliss sailing next week and have reserved at Cagney's. We already paid $20 in gratuities when we booked our cruise. Do we have to pay more gratuities/20% service charge or was that it? Also, I assume our 4 year old son can just eat off the regular kids menu there for no charge? Thanks
  24. Bumping this thread up...I'm curious as well. How can we find out how full the 1/22 Bliss sailing is? Thanks!
  25. I think you commented on the wrong post 🙂 but I was going to ask that poster the same as we are leaving out of San Pedro soon and as far as I know, no testing requirements (at least for NCL).
