I know Celebrity's reservation's group is understaffed, but this is ridiculous.

Now, at one hour and forty one minutes they just dropped my call.

    Unbelievable!

Did you press the button for a new reservation? The reason I ask is because we booked through a TA and there was an error on our reservation and our TA wasn't responding. I called Celebrity and selected the manage current reservation option and held for a very long time and when someone finally picked up the phone they had to transfer to the new reservation team... not sure why but the hold for that was only a few minutes.

I have been through several websites and still get mixed results.  Do you need a COVID test for entry into Rome, Italy.  We are flying from the USA on 12 May.  Thank you for any help you can give me.

The answer is it depends ... from the US Embassy in Italy:

    • Beginning on May 1 and valid until June 15, 2022, travelers from the United States may enter Italy if they are asymptomatic AND present one of the following:
        • An Anti-COVID 19 vaccination certificate for an European Medicines Agency (EMA)-recognized vaccine.  At present, EMA recognizes the following vaccines: Pfizer-BioNtech, Moderna, Johnson and Johnson, AstraZeneca and Novavax. The date of the last dose of the primary vaccination series must be at least 14 days prior to travel and no more than 270 days before arrival unless a booster shot was administered. Travelers vaccinated in the United States can prove this via the “white card” bearing the CDC logo.
        • A medical certificate confirming recovery from COVID valid for six months form recovery.
        • A negative molecular PCR test result carried out within 72 hours of arrival or a rapid antigen test result carried out within 48 hours of arrival
    • Passengers unable to present a valid vaccination, recovery certificate or negative test result will have to self-isolate on arrival for five days and undergo a molecular PCR or rapid antigen test at the end of the isolation

How hard would it be for a non-UK resident to get a doctor's visit in London for a certificate of recovery?   In NYC, we have walk-in clinics all over, so it should be easy to get here (cost aside).

Would they even need one though? If they both test negative then they can get into the US and if they want a certificate they can obtain it through their regular primary care provider. Of course, if either is still testing positive, then that would be a different story.

I wanted to share my experience today in trying to use the celebrity approved Novica tests today

I received 3 tests and tried to use these for my cruise tommorow. However all 3 scanned in the app as already used or expired. With the customer service being unable to assist with what occurred

I then had to run around pretty much all of NYC to find a testing place that could do my tests. Which thankfully I did

Moral of the story have a back up for the tele health/supervised antigen test

Just curious, how long ago did you purchase the tests?

One BT told me that the best deal on board was the Classic package.   He said that 90% of the drinks that passengers order are in the Classic Pack.   Unless you ask for a premium liquor the drink  will be made with well spirits.   Almost every drink at the pool is classic   All of the drinks in the theater are classic and etc    The only place you get a premium Martini is at the Martini bar unless you ask for a premium liquor.

I'm quite surprised by this - we had the premium package last cruise because DH liked the whiskey selection better. His family who was cruising with us did not get the premium. They always had to sign for the extra few dollars in order to get the same wine as us and even my favorite - baileys and coffee after dinner. I tried not to give them my told you so face 😈

Thanks for posting.  There is no information on the link about excursions in Naples & Greece.

Does anyone know if we can arrange our own tours in Greece & Naples?

It doesn't appear that's been determined/announced ... all it says for now is: "Based upon conditions or regulations in the countries you will visit, you may be required to go ashore on a shore excursion provided by Celebrity Cruises. These decisions are always made with your health and safety as our top priority."

    Thanx.

Beyond 12 Oct TA is showing as Barcelona to FLL which is not on our booking, should be Barcelona to Cape Liberty. Maybe they are foreshadowing something? Also, for those not vaccinated is says 4 tests but in the description it is 1 for embarkation, 3 for ports of call (Lisbon, Ponta delgada, Bermuda?) and 1 for re-entry which adds up to 5 tests.

I noticed that even for the vaccinated travelers it does not count the re-entry test, it is only counting the test for embarkation.

The Health Protocol has finally been announced for European sailings

My sailing out of Italy will require an Antigen Test 1 day prior to sailing -  does that mean exactly 24 hrs before sailing or can the test be done anytime the day before the sailing?

I am hoping it is the latter as we are flying in to FCO the night before the cruise

It says "within 1 day", so I'm interpreting that as anytime between 24 hours and embarkation. I think it would be almost impossible that every passenger is able to do it exactly 24 hours before the cruise, so hopefully I'm reading it correctly 🙂

So if I bid $1700 pp to upgrade to a Royal Suite, I don't get the perks of the Retreat, internet, laundry, Lumiere, butler etc.?

If I'm understanding correctly, there are amenities and there are perks - Luminae and the butler are amenities and you would get those, but you wouldn't get additional "perks" like the premium drink package or premium internet ... hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong 🙂

  10. Hello! We booked a 2022 cruise through a travel agent and since we are close to one year out I wanted to view the vacation. I was able to add my reservation to my account and I can see things like my onboard credit that's available. According to my invoice we should have the Premium Drink Package, however, when I go into Manage My Vacation to look at things like excursions, dining, etc. it is giving me the option to purchase the classic or premium drink package for $59 and $69/pp/pd. Is that just a glitch or should I be concerned that I might not have the Premium Drink Package?

  11. I don't suppose it would hurt to contact Captains Club and ask in it is possible to arrange for those NHL events to be available during your cruise. Sometimes they will do what they can to satisfy. What do you have to loose for trying?

That is not a bad idea, we may try that. Thanks for the suggestion!
