We are on the 4/5/14 Marina cruise RT Papeete. We did not purchase the ship's transfers to and from the airport. Can anyone tell me if getting a taxi either way will be a problem and can we use USD? Thank you.

DH and I are on the same cruise. We just booked about 30 days ago and since we won't make final payment until Jan. 2 we do not have any air arrangements as of yet. Our flights will also be through Oceania and I would prefer to leave on 4/4/14 rather than 4/5. We will be flying out of Houston. I have a feeling we will be on a chartered flight vs Air Tahiti Nui.

Hopefully we'll connect once on the ship. I hope we're lucky enough to get the same flight time into Papeete that you have. We don't know our flight times as of today nor do we even know our cabin #. That's what happens when you book late.

I guess we will need to book our excursions through Oceania as judging from the roll call it looks like the private excursions are already booked.

We are on the April 5 sailing. We can board the ship sometime that afternoon and it sails from Tahiti at 5 am April 6.

We just signed up for our first Oceania cruise and our first time in the South Pacific. We are using O's air and was hoping one of you kind posters could help me with a few questions.

We do not have our flight times as of today and I was wondering if we will have any time in Tahiti before the ship leaves the next morning at 5am.

We will be flying from Houston to Lax and from there to Tahiti. (I'm guessing about this).

Also are there any ports that we can do on our own or is that impossible?

Thank you. I'm already researching. The reason I asked is we just sailed on Celebrity to the Baltics for about the same cost as our Oceania cruise and we bought our insurance through them. The price was incredibly reasonable. I was hoping for the same.

We just booked our first cruise on Oceania to the FP. Has anyone purchased travel insurance through the cruise line and if so, do you know approx what it cost? My TA quoted $1300 for 14 days and I thought that was high. Thanks.

We just got off the Constellation and they were on the left side of the menu. My DH and the friends we were traveling with had them almost every night. We were also on the Allure last fall and they also had them but not as often as Celebrity.

Can you tell me about 7198 on Allure? Is it balcony or closet?
