  1. I was also going to ask the time of the flight. We couldn't use it last week because our SWA 7:20pm flight was past their cutoff. I think the cutoff was 6pm.

    ETA

I found the paper they left in our room. For SWA flights from FLL have to be between 11:30am and 6:00pm.

  2. I think you're too defensive and missing the point.

BTW, I think most of us know someone who lost a baby prematurely, including my mother who lost two. No one thinks they're going to go into labor 12 weeks early, but honestly, it sounds from those that saw her that she was more pregnant than that.

Also, for the citizenship thing, someone asked a legitimate question considering the baby was born at sea. It's almost as if you know the mother because you're taking this extremely personally.

It's hard to tell though. I carried huge with all 3 of my kids. From 5 months on I had people saying "any day now" and I wanted to kill them.

But the fact that they were already flown to FL makes me think she was more than 24 weeks. I don't recall seeing the family beforehand. If I did, she didn't stand out to me. I was hoping the captain would tell us the weight of the baby.

And I was wondering what happens with trip insurance if she was over 24 weeks. Do they still cover a claim if she took a trip she shouldn't have?

  3. Doesn't Indy alternate itineraries? This week was supposed to be Eastern and next week was already scheduled to be Western. However, this week was changed to a Western itinerary, so anybody doing a B2B will be doing two Westerns.

    Yes? No?

No, this week was Western as scheduled. Next week is scheduled for Eastern.

  4. I doubt they would change next week's itinerary from Western to Eastern just to please a few B2B cruisers, lol. 100% of the next week's passengers are excepting to be on a Western itinerary.

Still, really too bad for the OP and any other B2Bers. I'd be bummed too.

It's the other way around. It's supposed to be Eastern next week but supposedly it is changing to Western.

  5. They just updated the website again. Still no mention of a change in itinerary.

  6. so indy will be tagging along with us next week!? where did rcl say they've chosen an altered itinerary for indy

A few people have said they called and were told. AFAIK they haven't notified anyone or announced anything. I haven't received any notification. I can't imagine Freedom and Indy being at Labadee at the same time.

  7. I spoke with Royal C&A and he advised that they changed the way it's presented to you, instead of being "XYZ per day = Total, then add 18%" it's now just "XYZ per day (including 18%) = Total"

The per day should go up but I don't think the overall prices have increased as some have even reported decreases in total amount even though it went from $49 to $57 per day for Premium, myself included.

Premium went down a little but Select and Ultimate definitely went up a couple of dollars.

And like a couple of people posted here, they're getting different prices for different cruises.

  8. I think so but I am not 100% sure. I had the premium and was never charged extra for anything. The only limits I had was wine had to be $8/glass.. Anything more than that was extra. I just had the $8 ones because all the really good ones were only sold by the bottle anyway. I drank mostly frozen drinks.

It was an $8 limit with the Premium Package? I thought it was $8 with the Select and $12 with the Premium or Ultimate package.

  9. As long as picture ID matches cruise documents a marriage certificate is not required. The birth certificate with correct birth date, even though married name is not on it tells the agent you are a US citizen and is fine. Lots say they've been asked for it, who knows why. If it was truly required by law, it would be asked for without question from everyone every time.

Thousands travel without it every yr. If they were not allowed to board you'd see countless threads here stating that.

It tells them that the person on the birth certificate is a citizen it doesn't prove that they're the same person.

It seems odd to me that they don't make you prove it. I went to high school with a girl with the same first name and same same birthdate. In theory if one of us wasn't a citizen we could use the other ones birth certificate and our own id together and no one would know.

  10. It is a very common thing for family-friendly resorts in FL. They aren't next to' date=' but in the same area. Some have liquid soap for dishes instead of hand soap. I'm not familiar with cruise ships- I just know I won't use my own personal water glass at home without it going through a soap wash, [b']so the idea that a hot water rinse is fine is weird to me.[/b]

Why do you keep saying that? No one is telling you not to use soap.

  11. I have 3 kids and have been traveling with them since they were infants. I always washed bottles, sippy cups and refillable mugs in my hotel bathroom. I never spilled them all over the carpet or made any other mess in the room.Even at WDW I wash our mugs in the sink. It's not rocket science.

  12. Thanks for clarifying. An abstract is a computer generated 'copy' of the birth certificate facts. In this day and age, it as almost the only thing anyone can get anymore. They can be certified or not, and they can be short form or not. In CA, the abstracts (at least now) are all the same long form. I still have my old pre-xerox photostat copy of the actual birth certificate, but if I were to request a new certified copy I will get an abstract. I do think the RCI phone rep was confused about the difference, as abstract/certificate makes no difference as long as it was issued by a government entity and contains the full set of data (including parents names). There was time a few years back when there was a lot of confusion about what was and was not acceptable, but an abstract, properly issued and dated by the registrar, is fine for obtaining a passport. (Well, not the fake one in your picture, obviously, but you know what I mean).

Doing a quick Google search I see a bunch of websites saying that abstracts from TX and CA are no longer accepted.

SPECIAL NOTICE - CALIFORNIA BIRTH ABSTRACTS ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTABLE - PASSPORT APPLICANTS BORN IN CALIFORIA MUST SUBMIT LONG FORM PHOTOREPRODUCTION CERTIFIED COPIES OF BIRTH RECORDS
