  1. For those who don't have a drink package I for one would like to know the price before I order. Feel embarrassed to ask at that time. Surely I'm not the only one who would like to know. I don't like surprises!

I agree. I feel cheap asking for the price.

  2. I recently emailed customer service about my upcoming cruise on Navigator and asked for updated bar drink prices, since I had read about 40% increases.

    Here is their reply.

Thank you for your email. We apologize for the delay in our response.

We regret that we do not have information on a price increase for our drinks, nor do we have a full list of drink prices onboard our ships; however, we are happy to send a general list of prices. We kindly ask you to inquire once onboard for a complete price list.

    Alcoholic Beverage Prices:

    Beer: $4.25 and up

    Mixed drinks: $5.25 and up

Frozen drinks: regular glass $6.00 and up; souvenir glass $8.75 and up

Wine per glass: $6.50 and up

    Specialty coffee: $5.95 and up

    Nonalcoholic Beverage Prices:

Glass of soft drink: $1.95 and up

    Can of soda: $2.25

    Juices: $2.25 and up

    Bottled water: $3.25 and up

Nonalcoholic Mixed drinks: $2.95 and up

    Specialty Coffees: $1.95 and up

Note: All prices are quoted in United States Dollars (USD) and are subject to change. An 18% gratuity charge may be added to all beverage checks. The check may reflect an additional tax for certain ports and itineraries. Please speak with staff onboard to confirm the prices and applicable taxes for your cruise vacation.

Where the heck did they get that list?

$6.50 for wine? $1.95 for specialty coffee? Yeah right. LOL

  3. I've paid $12 for a drink at a resort on a land vacay so why not on a cruise? For that matter, I've paid that much at some local bars & restaurants. On vacation I don't want to think about the price of drinks or anything else, I just want to relax & have fun! I plan on getting the premium drink package on my cruise next month like I did on my last cruise, that way I can try anything I want & I can drink as much as I want, easy peasy!! Anyone know if Appleton rum in a piña colada would make it over the dollar limit? That's one of my favorites & in December it was fine but not sure with the new pricing if it would be over.

I think the issue is that the prices jumped overnight. On the price list posted a few posts up, an Ultimate Pina Colada was $8, it's now $12. That's a 50% price increase. I'm sorry, but that's crazy.

  4. I hope that is cheek in tounge :) Shame on me for calling a company I'm buying something from and asking them questions about it :)

Do you really expect every CSR to have visited every port and done every excursion?

What kind of questions are you asking them? They can only give you general information that is provided to them. Not personal experience.

  5. Our district is on break the week of 4/3-4/11. As are most of the districts in our area.

Never mind. I thought the OP was about 2015.

In 2016 our Spring Break is 4/25-4/29 and a long weekend around Easter. Normally we have the week before or after Easter depending on when Passover is. But next year Passover and Easter are a month apart.

  6. While some people think that "one day is not enough", MANY cruisers have spent a very happy and satisfactory day at either WDW or Universal. (Also a RC excursion).

I agree. I'd be happy walking around Epcot for a few hours.

I just hope the OP realizes that it's one of the busiest weeks of the year at WDW. Standby lines could be over 2 hours.

  7. At 12+tip you would still have to pay if you have drink package, only a couple a dollars bit still. Effing ridiculous

The specialty restaurants were probably dead because everyone spent all their money on alcohol. My next cruise is in a couple of weeks, I think it will be my last cruise with royal

I thought the package covered drinks up to $12.

  8. The Voyager has the Royal Babies and Tots program, it does not have the Royal Babies and Tots Nursery. You are not the first person to confuse the two. The Royal Babies and Tots program is a playgroup session that parents attend with their kids. It is not a drop off program. It is not held in a dedicated space, it is usually held in a lounge that is not being used at that time.

They really should be clearer on their website (I know, crazy talk). When you click on the Royal Tots program link on the Voyager page description it brings you here http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruise/experiencetypes/category.do?pagename=onboard_cat_kids_teens_and_families&tab=3. It's pretty confusing, they should give the 2 programs completely different names.

  9. I would check online for prices for 2 cabins and then call to compare to a Family cabin.

We were going to book us in a balcony and the kids in an inside cabin but it ended up being $700 cheaper to book a Family Oceanview cabin. I'm not too worried about the one bathroom. We normally stay in one room in hotels and share a bathroom. We're in 8500 on IOS so we have extra space and a door separating us from the kids.
