  1. They would look into it. There was no follow up but it did not happen again not that it should have happened in the first place. Cannot say why it stopped as it was hard to pinpoint the actual source. I do not go on vacation looking to police the behavior of others or have to engage with security/police.
  2. On our recent Solstice sailing (7/1) we had folks yelling off the balconies, smoking pot in their staterooms, endlessly slamming doors, coughing & sneezing as they pleased**, leaving overflowing trays of room service trays for others to step over, doing laps in a crowded Solarium pool, crowding the hot tubs with 5, 6, 7 people (where is says capacity of 3), soooooooooo... we were happy that folks were clothed to come into the dining room! That being said...on the first night of the cruise there tends to be a more casual dress code because folks have been travelling and may not have their luggage yet etc... On the last night the dress may be more casual because folks have packed up. **About the coughing & sneezing...there was a lot of this along with the loud claim of "It's Allergies"! It was disgusting! **
  3. Another vote for the Ensemble Lounge! Many comfy seating areas. We also enjoy sitting at the bar.
  4. Agree but if folks pay for a premium package and have expectations, they may want to go into the trip either amending their drink package or being prepared for substitutions. We have been on both Celebrity and RCL this year and there were no issues with beverage supplies until this last sailing on Solstice.
  5. Loyal Celebrity Cruisers... started sailing with X in our 30s - now in our 50s... Overall, we had an enjoyable trip, enhanced by gorgeous weather, on Solstice for the July 1-8 Alaska sailing The ship is older and probably could use a refresh, but it is clean & tidy with an AMAZING crew (happy, friendly, and working very hard). We were happy with our Concierge cabin and greatly enjoyed the balcony - many whale sightings & lots of beautiful fresh air!!! Food was delicious. We were finally able to score a Murano reservation!! An enjoyable meal for sure. Enjoyable music in the bars with great bar service. New (for us) Cruise Experiences... Passengers yelling from their balconies as we left a port. Yelling to one another and yelling to people on shore. "Can I Get A What What" and then there would be a response of "What What" from some other balcony or deck (it was hard to tell). This went on a few times until it devolved into the F-bomb being thrown about - we went back into our cabin at this point. We thought this behavior was really uncool! We were on the non-smoking side of the ship. Pot smoke coming from a cabin forward of us - this happened twice. Again, really uncool behavior!
  6. We were on the same cruise. My SO came down with COVID upon return. Hard to tell when he caught it as we were on the cruise and we also were on a flight out of Seattle. Very mild symptoms (thankfully). We are both vaccinated and boosted. I am perfectly fine and have repeatedly tested negative. On one of the FB pages for Solstice there have been reports of COVID for the 7/1 sailing.
  7. We were on Solstice July 1-8. Spotted one bottle of Woodford Reserve in one bar on the first day then it was gone. No Woodford Reserve to be found for the cruise. Had the Premium Drink Package so this was disappointing. They also were short on Kahlua - Tia Maria was the substitute. Frankly, we wish we had not paid for the Premium Drink Package as the only real benefit we experienced was the ability to get water in a bottle vs a can.
  8. For whatever reason I am never able to successfully search this forum. There is a long-time post with a list of spending OBC. If memory serves it also included how to use OBC in the casino. I would greatly appreciate help with finding this information. Thank you :)!!!
  9. Not yet but it is a concern! We fly out to Seattle next week. Have taken as many precautions as possible - flying direct & flying out two days before the cruise departure date. I will certainly breathe a sigh of relief once the plane takes off as I will know the next stop is Seattle!
  10. Celebrity sounds perfect for you! We are in our 50's, love to listen to music, people watch, enjoy a balcony view, strolls on deck at night to take in the beautiful sea air, and we LOVE Celebrity! We recently took a weekend cruise on Royal. Had a nice time but it was not as relaxing as our Celebrity experiences. We love the look of the Celebrity ships - understated & beautiful. Our experience with Celebrity has always been consistent and dependable - the food is always good (from the buffets to suite only dining in Luminae) , the service is always just as needed, we find the live music to be excellent, we love the Solarium pool, and enjoy leisurely afternoons sipping coffee and reading in Cafe Al Bacio... We have travelled in every class of cabin (inside to a suite) and do not find the experience to be vastly different between the various class of cabin - in fact one of our most favorite trips was a Coastal California sailing (pre-covid) in a large interior cabin.
  11. As a Floridian with a son who lives in Texas I want to stick up for both places. BTW - we are fully vaccinated & boosted and wear masks when we deem necessary. I tend to doubt any state has residents in 100% agreement with any policy/procedure/thought process. It is unfortunate that the Floridians & Texans who you encountered had attitudes & beliefs disagreeable to you. Florida & Texas are very large and diverse states.
  12. Thank you so very much for your helpful & informative thread! Sounds like you had a fantastic trip! We are on the Solstice July 1st sailing (sooooo looking forward to this trip)! If you have a moment will you explain the ArriveCan process and embarkation. I was under the impression that we were to complete this process within 72 hours of boarding the ship in Seattle. For us this is Tuesday June 28th. I recently received an email from Celebrity with my boarding time and procedures. The email states: CANADA ENTRY FORM Complete entry form prior to arrival in Canada. What exactly happens during the boarding process with ArriveCan?
