    Walgreens offers the rapid antigen test but the closest one to us here in San Francisco is in Oregon.  Really??  It's not like we are out in the sticks.  

    I believe if you check the Princess website they are now accepting the at home test but must be supervised via zoom or similar

    since Princess line does testing at the pier in South Hampton they have a template all worked out which could be done at the pier in Seattle.  Seems they don’t want to bother.  Our age is such that this cruise was our last opportunity to cruise so a future cruise credit might as well be used as wall paper.  This Alaska cruise was way more expensive in the first place that previous Alaska cruises.  This would have been our 11th/  overcharged under serviced!  THEY REALLY SHOULD DO IT AT THE PIER EVEN IF THEY HAD TO CHARGE…THE WORRY OF A LAST MINUTE TEST GETTING BACK IS RUINING OUR VACATION.

    drive through is not an option..physician must be prsent.

    Adds to the safety  of the cruise - surely it is a good idea to not let anyone on board that tests positive for CV19 ?

    The Brits are doing the test at the port just before you get on the ship.. Princess says tough luck figure it out on your own

    Yes I did…says “urgent”   also states it must be done at medical facility.  There are home test kits that would work but they do not allow them. Walgreens told me they have test kits ordered but the demand is not huge and they do not know when they will get them in stock.

    We are on the 8/8 sailing. We got an upgrade offer from Princess on 7/29. I had a hard time deciding. We had a balcony on Lido deck originally (we have always been on Lido deck amd love it up there!) and the mini suite is on Emerald deck. We ended up taking the upgrade ($119 per person) and figure it’ll be nice to see what a mini suite is like and we will also know for the future if we really want to keep booking on Lido deck! We are excited for the extra room of the mini suite!

    Do you have to have Purchased your cruise from Princess to get the email offer?

    I've been on 3 Alaska cruises and the presenters and demonstrations noted in the North to Alaska section all happened.  Maybe we were just lucky?  I know the presenters come on the ship and then leave before the ship heads to the next port.

    This is our 11th cruise with Princess on this itinerary and the presenters have been on every cruise thus far.  Hope to see them on the Aug 29 cruise!

    From Seattle, you are having to sail outside of the Inside Passage,  I assume that is where there were some high winds and high seas?

     

    Maybe they have had supply issues on their Prime Rib, with the restart.

    Cant imagine that they would want to take that away!

    Going north the first day is always at sea the return is through the inside passage

    I live in Oregon and live within a few miles of a major airport.  The list that drops down to choose your airport has mine listed but if I enter it the program will not save so I choose PDX for Portland which is a hundred miles away and it works.  A little nuts. I really don’t care where they ship my body so Portland works  LOL!

There was a lower price for our cruise and rather than price adjustment (small $) Princess gave us specialty dining for one night which was fine but messed up my signing on for medallion.  I had all green and boarding time now missing and only two check marks in green!  Cannot get medallion pay for my DW and virus to stick in the app.  When I fill out the forms and get to the end all is green until I log back to first page then those go white.  Tried so many times including hard reset on ipad pro and deleting app.  Called the help number and Princess could see that everything was complete on their end and did not know why I was not all green on my end.  Got the stock answer ‘try in a couple days giving time for mainframe to reset because of the addition of the dinners’

  14. today is final payment but there is a drop in price  I just called on my booking and they adjusted the price  I received an email with a save 300 so I called and even though I HAD PAID IN FULL THEY TOOK CARE OF IT  it did take 2 hours on the phone

    If you book with a credit card, you get your refund back on your card but OBC doesn’t work like that.

    I am disappointed. 

    If the Princess staff is correct it is a real change of policy.  Have always been able to cancel most excursions up to 24 hours ahead and immediately get the OBC back. In fact I canceled a tour in Skagway last week and the OBC was immediately credited I then rebooked a different excursion using the OBC again.
