  2. Draft beers in the Caribbean are Heineken, Miller Lite, Murphy's Red and Newcastle Brown Ale. The beer page on the Bar Menu can be found here thanks to another member:

Yes, there are waiters in the pool area but I didn't find them as plentiful on other ships. This was actually beneficial so I wasn't continually asked if I needed a drink.

  3. Yes, they do have two formal nights. If you are on a regular seven night sailing, they will be on Sunday and Thursday. As you mentioned though, a wide variety of formal wear. Very few tuxedos...mostly suites for men.

They do have some great wine packages you can pre-purchase but I believe they are for consumption in the dining room only. I have seen a few folks carrying bottles but don't know how they got them. And as for water, you already know it's not supposed to happen but yes, numerous people on here have said they managed to get them on.

    Hope this helps.

    Hope you picked 9009. ;)

I'm assuming cabin numbers 8137 & 8139 would be small. Is this assumption correct. If so, how small?

    Thanks,

Cabins 8137 and 8139 are connecting cabins. Cabin Interior 191.8 sq ft (24.2 sq ft bathroom + 167.6 sq ft living space). Balcony is 42.0 sq ft. Cabin 8139 should have a single sofa bed.

Balcony cabins are fairly alike from Deck 8 and above (with some exceptions of course). The only smaller ones are what used to be the old Category 6's (now lumped into B1 & B2 categories).

  9. And since security is after the checkin so no places in line are lost.

Not sure we are talking about the same terminal. Maybe you to had to check-in at an alternative terminal in Miami?

Immediately at the doors of the normal terminal, security checks to make sure you have cruise paperwork and citizenship info so they know you belong in the terminal. They then send you up the escalators where you now get in line for the baggage x-ray and metal detectors. After that, you make a left and go down the hallway to the check-in area. Bottom line is you don't get to the check-in area until you have been through all the other stuff.

I have no idea why your experience was different. It definitely should not have been.

  10. If you don't mind me asking ... what about 10057 ?

Not a problem at all Jenn! We're all here to help each other.

  11. You are allowed to carry luggage on that is comparable to airport "carry on". Reason being it has to fit through the smaller scanners in security lines. The big scanners for "normal" or oversize luggage are only downstairs where the porters take them to be delivered to the ship.

Homeland Security rules require that all luggage taken onto the vessel be x-rayed.

  12. How about 9133?

Cabin 9133 - Cabin Interior 192.8 sq ft (32.9 sq ft bathroom + 159.9 sq ft living space). Balcony is 42.0 sq ft. This is a bathtub/shower combo room.

    How about 12154, Bret?

Cabin 12154 - Cabin Interior 148.0 sq ft (24.2 sq ft bathroom + 123.8 sq ft living space). Balcony is 34.0 sq ft. Note: This type of cabin used to have its own category. Now, however, they are lumped in B2's which are 50 sq ft bigger.

As you can see, cabins vary widely. I've stayed in the smaller one (as well as larger ones) and there is a noticeable difference.

    Glad to help!

  13. How about 11301 & 10087, thanks.

Cabin 11301 - Cabin Interior 191.8 sq ft (24.2 sq ft bathroom + 167.6 sq ft living space). Balcony is 95.8 sq ft.

Cabin 10087 - Cabin Interior 191.8 sq ft (24.2 sq ft bathroom + 167.6 sq ft living space). Balcony is 123.8 sq ft.

As for the cabins that have the shower/tub combos, (other than suites) they are a handful of balcony cabins on decks 8 and 9 midship aft. As for posting it, not sure it is for the public. Not that there is any security issue but I was told they are concerned with liability, should something in the cabin change, (such as the shower/tub combos) folks may try to hold them to what was in print. Makes sense I guess.

  14. I'd love that info for 13045 if its not too much trouble.

Not a problem. Cabin 13045 - Cabin Interior 191.8 sq ft (24.2 sq ft bathroom + 167.6 sq ft living space). Balcony is 42.0 sq ft. It should have a double sofa bed and a shower only. (Some regular balcony cabins have a shower/tub combination though they are not advertised.)

    Hope this helps!

  15. I'm pretty sure most of you knew that you could pre-book specialty restaurants but I wasn't aware of this package until today:

    MSC DIVINA SPECIALTY DINING PACKAGE

THE BEST FOOD EXPERIENCE AT SEA AT A VALUE PRICE. The package includes FIVE unique experiences: one lunch or dinner in Eataly's Restaurant + one dinner in the elegant Ristorante Italia + one dinner in our sensory fusion Galaxy Restaurant + a package bonus of one experience in American Sports Bar + one pizza at our Pizzeria Italia. Eataly Restaurant experience includes one starter or pasta dish of your choice, 1 main course (T-Bone steak is excluded) and one Eataly's dessert. Ristorante Italia experience includes one signature table d'hote menu. The Galaxy restaurant experience includes our exlusive sample menu with seven dishes and seven wines!. The American Sports Bar experience includes our famous Sample Platter. The Pizzeria Eataly experience includes any pizza of your choice from our pizza menu (one meter of pizza is excluded). Our Maitre d'Hotel will assist you with planning and reservation of your prepaid experiences.

Cost for this is $214 for two. To me, doesn't seem like a bad deal. Just throwing that out there FYI.

  16. If you are are trying to decide on particular cabins, I have a listing of every cabin onboard with the square footage of the cabin overall (plus broken down into bathroom and living space) and the balcony. Let me know if you need that info on certain ones.

Overall, I think B2 is a safe bet though some forward have steel balcony siding versus plexiglass.

  17. I can only answer 1, 2 and 6.

    1) I have been on her three times now in different cabins. Never an issue with A/C. You must remember to put your room key in the slot by the door. Otherwise, A/C and lights will not work.

    2) All laundry has to be sent off. No laundry facilities.

    6) Yes, boarding typically starts 12ish.

    Hope this helps.
