  1. Here’s the story,  my brother in law very generously booked and paid for a cruise for our whole family which was 9 people staying in 5 cabins.  He booked it a year ago and the cruise is 83 days away.    Here is how the cabins are broken down

handicap balcony cabin - me and my husband

handicap balcony cabin - my mother in law and her friend

balcony cabin - brother in law by himself

inside cabin - my son and his wife

inside cabin - my younger son and his girlfriend

So since the time of booking, some things have changed.  My younger son broke up with his girlfriend and he will be going alone.  My mother in law is having some health problems and will require surgery in a few weeks and my brother in law is afraid of her being on a ship, away from her drs right after Surgery in case something goes wrong.  My brother in law said me and my husband and our 2 sons and daughter in law can still go on the cruise but he would cancel his room and my mother in laws room.

‘’here is the question...I believe our handicap room sleeps 4 people, how difficult would it be to move our younger son, who is now alone, into my room so we can cancel his room too and save my brother in law some money?  Would we have to cancel our reservation and book again?   My husband and I lucked out and bought the $18.00 unlimited drink package, if our son is in our room he would have to buy a drink package too, right?  What is the process of moving someone from their own cabin to your cabin?

    thanks in advance,

  2. Food is subjective,  we LOVED Jamie’s when we were on Anthem a few months ago.  The truffle sauce and the carbonara pasta was amazing!  My husband loved the short ribs.  We had the unlimited dining plan so we ate there a few times.  We will be on Oasis in a few months and we hope we like Giovanni’s as much as we liked Jamie’s.

Give it a try for lunch.

Yes it says it included but they get 18% added to the full price ($45+ depending on restaurant). The UDP is usually $25 or less per meal with no additional tip added. So they obviously are getting much less than the 18% number even if you leave $10 per couple.

it is still up to you because it says tip included but we tip knowing that it is still costing us a lot less than what we would be paying for full price.

$45x2=$90 plus 18% auto tip added equals $98.10.  With the package $25x2 or $50 plus tip if you wish is $60.

Obviously  the price of specialty restaurants very by ship.

Thanks for clarifying it.  We will definitely tip extra.

Where have you seen bungalows on Coco Cay?

I've only seen the beach bungalows on Labadee....

I have seen a few YouTube videos about perfect day at  coco cay and I saw bungalows on the video.  It has not been offered on the cruise planner at all.  I’m sure it will be very expensive but i will check it out.

  5. I purchased the full day water park pass for my November cruise for $61.99.  i’m also going in May 2020 with 7 other family members so for that cruise we got the water park cabana which comes with 6 passes. 2 of the people in our group have mobility issues and would not go to the water park anyway so it worked out.  When I purchased the water park cabana we got it for $499.00.  It’s now going for $999.00 so I’m happy we got it for the lower price.  I’ll keep checking the cruise planner, especially around Black Friday.  Hopefully the price will go down more.  Can’t wait to go in a few weeks😀
