  1. We did the mystery dinner with our kids but they were older, 14 and 16. It was a cute show and my kids enjoyed it but I was a little annoyed that they did not have kids prices. Paying full price for the kids who do not drink seemed a little unfair. I don't know if a 7 year old would enjoy it.

  2. We were on Indy two weeks ago and had three cabins together and this was our balcony. Great fun doing it :)

Those tables and chairs look nice. I'm guessing you were staying in a suite? I will be on Liberty next year. Does anyone know if the Liberty has the nice chairs and tables for handicapped balcony rooms and does the balcony dividers open?

    Thanks,

  3. My husband is a very picky eater and loves steak. The rest of the family was fine with the reg MDR menu but he did not care for the steak on the reg. menu. He ordered the chops filet a few nights on our 9 night cruise. He loved it. He said it was well worth the extra money.

  4. I just got off the explorer 4-21-12 and I brought a case of Poland spring water and a 12 pack of diet coke. I did not put it in a bag and just put a luggage tag on them and they were delivered to my room without a problem. I did not mind having glasses of water in the dining room or the windjammer but I tried just filling a glass from the bathroom sink and thought it tasted a little different. I also liked bringing bottles of water with me when I went to the gym or to the beach in the ports. My dh had the soda package but liked the convience of having a few cans of soda in the room.

  6. Loralie, On past 7 night cruises they offer a family disco night in one of the clubs. I cannot remember which ships offered it but it was alot of fun and our kids got a big kick out of us dancing to their music and vise versa! Enjoy your cruise and kick up your heels!

Thanks so much for the info Jeresygirl! I would love a family disco night, sounds like my kind of fun! :)

  7. I never understood why people replied the way they do in these threads when I first signed up but it has really become clear. For a clear and simple way of understanding things...18+ equals adult, while 17 and below does not. Why must half the people posting questions seem to want exceptions made for their kids? If something is described as an adult activity it means just that.

just asking a question, no need to be so snippy about it!

In my family kids are always invited to parties and family functions. My kids are well mannered and enjoy hanging out with the adults. I would not expect him to hang out with us every night but I thought if once or twice during the 10 days would be fine. A simple no would have been fine and I will follow the rules.

I will be on my cruise on the 12th and nothing is going to get me down!!!

  8. The Kon Tiki will pick you up directly from the pier. Well, at least they did for those who docked at the Haversock (Sp) pier.

Marc, you did a nice job posting the pictures. Let me at least try to add one of us coming up to the beach.

We will be on the Explorer in April, will they pick us up at the pier? how do I find out what pier the Explorer will be at?

    thanks,

    Loralie.

  9. would this be a good excursion for people who are overweight and limited mobility? We will be in St. Thomas in April. We are on Explorer of the Seas. We have 2 people in our family who are very overweight and one who has trouble walking long distances. I noticed some excursions talk about weight restrictions but I did not see one for Kon-Tiki.

Looks like a lot of fun.

    Thanks,

  10. Love traveling along with you and your daughter. I also plan on working out on my cruise but I think I will do it every other day. I'm exhausted just reading about all the workouts you do! Congrats on the weight loss. I have lost 68 pounds but stupidly gained back 50 pounds! I am back on track and I have lost 25 and hope to lose the rest by my cruise in April. I'm doing P90X and im only on day 18, so far I'm doing pretty good. It's tough but I feel like I'm improving and that's all I can ask for.

Can't wait to read the rest.
