  1. To bring this to a full circle, the Internet package was not specified anywhere except in the original confirmation email that I was sent when I originally booked. So very easy to lose track of!! Not in the cruise documents printed before boarding.
  2. Hi!! We're crusing on Monday and I'm trying to sort out the last details. I could have sworn that husband's room rate came with an internet package, but I don't see it anywhere. I was booking two cruises around the same time, so I suppose I could be wrong... Is there a way to check? If I pay for it ahead of time and he already has it for free will we be refunded? I wanted to order it before we got in the boat to save the 15 percent. Thanks!!!
  3. Thanks so much! That's super helpful! My little one is 4yo and a crazy extrovert so I'm hoping she'll like camp carnival for a couple hours on the sea days just so mom and dad can have a little rest!
  4. Hi!! Did your daughter happen to do any Penguin activities? I'm looking for some current schedules for the penguins. And did your ship have a build a bear?
  5. We're sailing on the Sunshine on Monday with a 4yo who is EXTREMELY excited to be a Penguin. I know the younger kids club has been open for a little while now. Does anyone have any sample daily schedules I can share with her? Or photos? We're running out of YouTube videos about the cruise for her to watch and she's just so freaking excited.
  6. Message sent to doctor to see if I can bring along some "just in case" amoxicillin. Fingers crossed!!
  7. Is all I really need our boarding passes, passports, and vaccine verification? I so, then agreed - I'll stop trying to use verifly.
  8. I think I've got it working right as far as getting my husband, my daughter, and myself (2 rooms) added to the app, but it's not showing a vaccine section for my daughter. She's 4 and fully vaccinated. Although I'll bring paperwork for backup, does that mean they will definitely have to check it for her?
  9. Hi! Two seemingly unrelated questions that are actually connected if you have a toddler!! Can I bring packaged snacks on the boat? I'm thinking things like granola bars, goldfish crackers, dried fruit... I'm worried that on excursions I'm going to need snacks for the 4yo and I'm not sure what I'll be able to find for her. Also, does anyone know if they have any sort of pharmacy on board? I can bring some cold medicine and children's Tylenol with me just in case, but she sometimes gets ear infections and I'm wondering if there will be facilities to get antibiotics or anything like that. Anyone know?
  10. Just hoping I could get confirmation of what I think the rules are on our cruise! Three travelers, all fully vaccinated. Leaving October 24th going to Nassau and the private island. Am I correct that none of us need to test beforehand? Thanks!!!
  11. I can't find this exact question posted - apologies if this has been answered! I booked 2 rooms for 3 people - me, my husband, and my 4 year old daughter. We definitely paid the single supplement (it was actually more than 2x the single fare!). We suddenly thought of a friend who might want to go with us and I'm not sure if it's too late to add a person to the room with only one person booked in it. Has anyone tried this? If it's going to add onto the single supplement we already paid I think we'd pass, but if we could do it essentially for free we'd consider it. Thanks!!
  12. Do you need cash to tip, or can you tip on your account when you order?
  13. Is it obvious when or if they're going around checking? Our little one will often be happy in the water for more than 15 minutes at a time and I'd hate to have to have to jump out every quarter hour to check to see if we've been tagged!
  14. I plan on bringing a couple floating toys and a couple "retrieving" toys. Although she loves waterslides, she's also happy to practice her real swimming and play with a little floating shark.
  15. I didn't know this was a thing - my 4 year old will be so excited to look for ducks!! It's just a little joy. If people don't want to participate they don't have to!
  16. Thanks - I'll make sure to mention it if they don't!
  17. Jumping in this thread - I made reservations at the steakhouse for the first night. Is the free bottle of wine just an open secret? I haven't seen it anywhere except for mentioned here. Is it something they're still doing? We're going with 2 adults and 2 kid, and I'm hoping it's true that we can get multiple appetizers. I want to try as many as I can - they look delicious! Thanks!!
  18. I hadn't even considered that they made sleep masks for kids! That's certainly something worth trying! And they are ADORABLE.
  19. I believe it's actually 10% MORE expensive on board.
  20. I'll be travelling with a 4 year old who is used to sleeping in a pitch black room. Due to the lack of interior connected cabins on the Sunshine, I had to get two connecting ocean view cabins. Are the curtains blackout curtains? I was thinking about bringing some magnets to secure the curtain around the edges and some clips to clip it together in the middle, but does anyone recall if their curtains blacked out enough light that if I could seal up the edges this would work? My goal is to NOT have my sweet cherub waking up with the sun! When we travel I tape tin foil in the windows but I'd like to actually be able to pull the curtains back during the day. And I'd like it to look slightly less like a meth lab. Thanks!
  21. We're scheduled to sail in October with my will-be-then-4-year-old. We waited until the littlest ones could get vaccinated and until they opened up Camp Ocean for the youngest group. Although I've sailed with Carnival several times before, I've never done it with a child and my husband and I are VERY excited to avail ourselves of the Camp Ocean services and get some quiet time to ourselves on some of the sea days. Has anyone sailed with a Penguin lately? Do I have to do something ahead of time? Do I go directly to the Camp Ocean area once I arrive? Are they doing full days? I saw some posts that they were just 9-noon and 1-4 or something like that. Will they take the kids for lunch? Any tips or tricks? She's a social little thing and will be much happier spending some time with other kids rather than getting dragged around by us all day!
