  1. If any cachers are going to be on the Oosterdam between June 17 and July 11, please send a message to Hawaiian Hairball on the geocaching website. Maybe we can meet up and do some caches!!

  2. If I were you, I would consider a private tour. That way, if you get tired halfway through the day, you can go to plan B. Explain your circumstances to a few private tour operators and see which one can come up with the best and most flexible day. Best of luck.

  3. I think it depends on the child. It would have been ok for us with kid #1 and kid #3. I would have been a nervous wreck with kid #2 who was a huge climber and way faster than his parents!! Lol! And once kid #2 started crying he didn't stop plus he spit up constantly. Ugh.

It would be nice if grandma and grandpa could come along and spend time with the baby as well.

  4. Thank you. If we were to hire a driver or a cab for the day, does anyone have an idea of the cost?

We do have a car tentatively booked for about 100 euros, but we would prefer not to do the driving ourselves.

  5. We are spending a couple of pre cruise days in Venice and we would like to visit San Marino. We have been to Venice several times but we are geocachers and we want a cache in a new country.

Any suggestions for a good way to get to San Marino for a day trip besides renting a car. TIA.

  6. Cute thread. Obviously you don't wanna take less stuff so don't.

DH and I have traveled to Europe for several months with a cruise in the middle and we have each had a carry on and a personal item. Very freeing but to each her own!

  7. Some of the times the bathroom light switch did not affect plugging in a nightlight; other times the power to the plug went off with the bathroom light. We bring both a regular nightlight and battery operated tea lights and use whichever works.

  8. Please follow up on your claim. Call your insurance company or talk to someone on the website who can direct you to the right person.

And make sure your claim was actually received by the insurer. Most companies send out a claim number for you to refer to right after receiving your claim.

    Good luck and be persistent!
