Has Carnival banned straws? If they have, I’ll slip a package of straws into their gift bag.

No. Your cruise and shore excursion have been rebooked. Why go thru the aggravation?
JMO.

This same question has been asked on every cruise lines forum since the P&O announcement.

Go for it. If you don’t make it they will get you out on the next flight that has availability. Could be quite an adventure.

I have a work friend who is taking a delayed honeymoon cruise on Miracle leaving 9/8.
I just got the idea to give her a gift bag of little things to take on her cruise. And though I’ve cruised 7 times, all I can think of is wall magnets, magnetic hooks and highlighters for the dailies.
I know there are lots of other cruise hacks but my mind is drawing a blank. Help me out, please!!!
What’s the Carnival rule on taking a bottle of wine on board??
And one other thing since I’ve never cruised on Carnival. I am assuming the cabins have metal walls and will take magnets. Am I right about that?!

What are the number of drinks a abnormal person drinks on a cruise to make the package worthwhile?
In my mind an abnormal person drinks zero drinks on a cruise. LOL [emoji6]

agreed. all inclusive cruising would be great and there would be literally no line at the purser desk about ship board accounts..NCL will change the future of cruising. Imagine taking a all inclusive world cruise...that would be VERY EXPENSIVE....lol
You can pretty much do that on Viking and Oceania. They include just about everything.

I saw this today from a maritime attorney who I must presume knows more about this topic than all of us (except perhaps the random narcissist running about tossing fire LOL) -
‘Miami-based maritime attorney Jim Walker, an industry watchdog, says man-overboard incidents are not simple cases of “falling” or getting swept off a deck by the wind.
“In my assessment,” he said, “alcohol is involved in about 40 percent of the cases. Ten percent are suicides. The remaining 50 percent are mysteries with a high percentage of these cases involving foul play. The most likely scenario we have seen are men throwing women overboard.” ‘
[/quote
And a few years ago, the wife is thought to have her husband over the rail, whilst on their honeymoon.

I can’t wrap my head around how passengers fall overboard off a cruise ship? Suicide, murder and total drunkenness. Those I get. But other than that, how on earth does one fall off the ship?

I was on NCL last year during the world series - no coverage, or for college football. I think there was a big Penn State-Ohio State game and as this cruise left from NYC, people were not happy.
Hopefully Oasis shows something...
Don’t cruise during football season if it’s that important to you.

At any rate, if anyone tried the same trick on a US immigration official who was being difficult - as some of them can be - they'd probably find themselves in similar trouble. So if you're inclined to accord any weight to this story, you'd better not visit the US either.
Or the UK. Or Australia. Or Canada. Or Russia. Or India Etc etc

So what is all the hate towards Del Rio about. I’ve seen posts like this before, but no real explanation is ever given.

Cooked tomatoes that come out for breakfast. Just nasty.
I love the broiled tomatoes.

The chicken salad on the buffet. And the pretzel rolls and sticks.
Egg salad is very good too.

Sometimes there are places that are just not of interest to someone. . Dubai is one of those places for me. I’m not interested in going to Rome either and that’s one of the top 3 in the world.
But I do want to go to Egypt, Israel and Jordan. But the UAE just doesn’t appeal.

I booked excursions online and was not asked to pay for them ahead of time.

Having seen this thread, and checked the NCL website (but also searched for squash), I'm concerned about being able to bring squash (concentrated fruit syrup which you mix with water) on board. NCL say "guests are prohibited from bringing any beverages -- including liquor, beer and non-alcoholic drinks such as water, soda and juices -- on board either as carry-on or checked luggage"
Not sure if squash meets that definition. Know it sounds stupid but I really don't like plain water...
Can anyone answer if it will be or not?
We don’t have squash herein the US but we do have little bottles of water enhancer/flavoring that I always bring with me.
Stick your squash bottle in your purse. You will be fine.

If they can't keep up, they either don't have enough staff, or they are inefficient.
Other cruise lines use reusable cups both indoors and outdoors and the process works just fine.
Some other cruise lines. Not all other cruise lines.

I don’t know why people think they’ll get anything free in life. There’s no free healthcare There’s no free school lunches. There’s no free anything. Except air. Until the GOVT figures out to how to treat it as a utility so they can charge us for that.
