  1. Thanks for posting that info,

Not exactly the "highly trained professionals" and "professional wages" CB at Sea stated they make. By any stretch of the imagination.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Remember these workers get room board medical uniforms and don’t have many of the normal day to day expenses the rest of us do. Most of their income is discretionary.

And it’s way more than a living wage in their country.

  2. Elaine, you seem to have some anger issues, targeted at me who is just trying to get word out (since NCL did not do so). Here's a link you might consider. https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/therapists. Best wishes for good

Interesting comment considering how angry you were at NCL.

I was too busy rolling my eyes to feel anger at you. LOL. You flatter yourself.

    Lmao.

This could all be avoided by cruise lines using the 2400 clock.

  3. I "HEAR you and feel your pain! Same thing has been happening to me for years now! Ignore those who cannot relate....as I have had the issue of booking loads of things for our large family....and it does NOT allow time to complete the transaction.

NCL does monitor these forums. Once in a very great while you will see an official reply from NCL. BUT I’ve only seen that on truly critical issues usually happening in real time.

I’ve also seen official replies from Viking and Think I remember one from HAL.

My guess is Corporate com all cruise has someone assigned to lurk on these boards.

  4. Yes, I have seen both "Queer" and "Questioning" for the Q. In any case, it makes the group inclusive no matter what the orientation.

Not really inclusive. They’ve left out heterosexual.

  5. A drop of 40, 50 or significantly higher should not be anything like hitting a solid barrier. A high dive platform is set at 33 feet. I have dived from this height (when I was young and dumb) and jumped from much greater heights. These heights in them selves are not that big of a deal.

I continue to wonder how long Getaways search lasted.

It lasted until they were told the search was called off.

  6. Hi all! If you've booked this cruise, be aware that up until today the itinerary listed us arriving in Key West at 3:30 a.m. The accurate time is 3:30 p.m. Leaving port at 9 p.m. which means only about 3.5 hours in Key West. I'm really disappointed in NCL for this mistake. Big screw up in my opinion. Does anyone have a number to call to voice a complaint?

You might want to start a third thread on this issue. Just in case someone misses your other two.

  7. I'm with OP here. Having just finished a cruise with 29 other family members, I have to say that NCL's web site is among the worst designed I've seen. It took ages to get everyone registered and signed on to the site. At least half the group wound up calling their service to get it cleared up.

Entering your information is fussier than other cruise sites.

Once finished, finding the place to download the boarding documents and luggage tags is not clear for those of us less savvy in such things.

It could do with an overhaul.

Ha!! You’ve never been on HAL or P&O.

  8. I'd forgotten all about salt sticks until this thread. I grew up in Pittsburgh, and remember my father bringing them home from work in the late 1950s/early to mid-60s. He bought them at a German bakery, and they were an acquired taste. ;)

    Roz

Are you talking about those breadsticks that are like a soft pretzel consistency and are rolled in kosher or coarse salt? Are those salt sticks?

  9. In 2020 Queen Victoria is schedule for a circumnavigation of South America - no WC.

At a guess, I would expect to see 2021 WC schedules available in early 2019.

That’s so long to wait! Thanks

  10. If I’m finding everything on their website, in 2019 Q.V. is doing a complete westward circumnavigation, but in 2020 the only WC IS QM2 and it’s an eastward loop?

Did I miss some other voyage for 2020??

Any educated guess when 2021 itineraries might be released?
