  1. We visited Vietnam a few years ago. Found the people to be friendly, kind and generous.  For a poor country the people are very respectful of those visiting their country.  i can see how they easily adapted and were able to fight off covid.

The world can learn from them. They just go with the flow. and they got it right: We as a country are too good to listen to better judgement.  We will have to go back into lockdown again.

  2. This thread makes about as much sense as VP Pence not wanting to wear a face mask because he wanted to be able to look people in the eye when he talks to them.

Let me get this straight, your traveling with the person who booked your cruise. And is a TA but you would rather ask a bunch of strangers instead of asking the obvious person how they may have screwed up the reservation.

    Just ask her...

  3. I think eliminating the WJ is long over due.  Those that have been cruising for more than 20 years will remember the elimination of the midnight buffet and we all survived and kept on cruising.

Royal’s WJ in the past several years have become quantity over quality.  Also, self serve venues are a great waste. As so many people become gluttonous, ravenous food hoarders and leave so much over just to be thrown away.

I think it will be turned a bistro like concept, akin to a fast service restaurant concept.

in the long run it may even lower the bottom line and become a new cruise  Favorite concept if executed correctly.

  4. This is one of the most narcissistic threads ive see in a LONG time.

You became a TA, Most people in this industry are part timers looking to earn money and have some fun while doing it.  The other, have made this there full time career.  They get into travel because they like it and they can receive nice perks in return.

Now you really have to work your butts off because of this “VIRUS” Well,  you chose this career path.  NOW ITS WORK, and for the last two month its mostly been Pro bono.
Do we feel sorry for you, NO. We are all equally screwed.  I can post 100 different reasons  why your post is falling on deaf ears.  However, its should be obvious.  Just in case its not here is one for you.  Almost all the cruise lines have protected your commissions.  there are very few charge backs in the industry as a result  of this pandemic.

Its like my Attorney telling me not to drop the law suit because his Mercedes payment is due. C’mon really???

Hello, can anyone please provide recent dining room menus and cruise compass for Harmony Of The Seas 7 Night Western Caribbean Cruise? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Why do people need to look at this stuff in advance?

Do you really need to plan every minute of activity & meal before your trip even starts.

Scour every website, pictures, and video of the ship to learn everything.

It kind of takes the fun out of vacation if you over-plan everything.

Leave a little surprise for when you get on the ship.

For me, I do zero planning(except book all the shows on the oasis ships, but never go).

I don't look at a menu until I sit down...

Did you think for a second, maybe someone in thier party may have a food alergy.  Or maybe someone has autism?  Any with that you need to have structure and advanced planning anytime you go away under certain circumstances or severity.

Or perhaps they are not spur of the moment people who like to plan ahead. Because they are excited.  Sorry to inform you but the sun does nit rise and set on your terms.

    God bless...

Your phone has a browser, what’s wrong with using that?

I find your reply to be ignorant.  proprietary apps are meant to integrate with the user in a more user freindly interface.  Apps when designed and coded for a specific purpose often make the user experience a lot more productive.

That being said, I found the CC mobile app to be easier to use on my Mobile devices compaired to using the mobile browser when not at my computer. I would no be surprised if most users feel the same way.

This is pretty funny considering you act as though people that print plane boarding passes are ridiculous. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2557845-plane-ticket-printouts/?tab=comments#comment-55223080

There was absolutely no malace intened in my post that you referenced.  You really went swinging for the fences at this one, just looking to disparage me. Well, you failed...

And unless you are “RIDICULOUS” you would not find my post as anything other than friendly advice.  However, your friend Tree skier was extremely rude on his reply to drummer70. NICE TRY...

HERE IS MY ORIGINAL TEXT, PLEASE JUDGE FOR YOURSELVES.

“Who prints out tickets anymore. Use your smartphone or simply use a kiosk at the airport. Why worry about something that is not needed.”

We are boarding Liberty on Saturday.  I can't believe that it is finally here !! I was wonder about printing my set sail pass.  Is it necessary or can you just save a pdf on my phone and have them scan that?  My set sail pass includes myself and DW.  We don't have separate passes... if that makes any difference to your suggestion.

Why are to trying to complicate something as simple as printing a couple pieces of paper.  And NO,  they cant scan your phone.  Print the freakin paper, show up and stop being such a baby...🤯

  9. Its a subjective question.  It depends on what is most important to you. For example,

    1) A family may want a high deck-forward to be closer to the teen center.

2). Some want to be close to the lido

    3) some want to be lower near the entertainment.

the list goes on and on.  So, if anyone were to answer your question with any value to you. Please provide more info. This will greatly improve your chances of receiving valuable info.

  10. I think it was our very first cruise, on the Sovereign of the Seas. I thought I'd be cool and test my language skills to tell our suite's room stewardess what a great job she did and thank you for making our bed. I apparently told her we wanted to take her to bed, which led to a really awkward conversation with the Hotel Director and a security guard and trying to explain it was a misunderstanding and that we were both gay. That led to the security guard asking us, numerous times, "then why did you ask this nice lady to go to bed with you!"
