Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Appreciate the response. I’d certainly consider paying for it, but The phone reps confirmed that it is a complementary benefit for suite guests, do you have a link where it indicates that the suite comp was discontinued?
  2. About a month ago, in March
  3. Hello all, first time princess cruiser here. I’m booked in a suite for a summer sailing and one of the benefits is the 360 specialty dining experience. I tried to book online but the app forces you to pay for it and doesn’t recognize the suite benefit. When I call to the ocean ready (I think that’s what it’s called?) department, they tell me it can only be booked onboard. I am celebrating my birthday this trip and I don’t want to risk it being sold out/fully booked by the time we board. Anyone have experience with this? TIA
  4. The trip is r/t from Barcelona, and we will have the beverage package. Thanks for the reply, hopefully the taxes won’t be too excessive if they do charge them
  5. Thank you! in case anyone is curious for an update on this, she received a refund for $100 for the prepaid gratuities and an extra $100 courtesy adjustment for the unused spa package. She was happy with that and grateful to get anything back
  6. Looking at a European/Mediterranean itinerary for June. The trips is 9 days with NO sea days and an overnight at one of the stops. with the FAS beverage package, will we be paying taxes/VAT on all drinks all the time? TIA
  7. Update to avoid confusion she did inquire about refunds and fees at guest services. She was told the gratuities would not be her responsibility for all days following disembarkation (at the time they answered they didn’t know we prepaid, so they later told us to just contact the main office), and she got money back from the internet package which she bought on board. we were told to contact guest services about the gratuities and spa which were prepaid along with obviously the port fees and taxes. The information I received from ncl is that these refunds are done on a case by case basis
  8. There were no fines, no violation of the PVSA. She was cleared to leave by the ship authorities and by American CBP
  9. embarkation NYC dismebark in St Thomas (we already had visited Bermuda and St. Maarten, so had called on Ports outside of the US) the person went to guest services, informed them they intended to disembark, got sent up to the area where US Immigration was staging, had their information logged, and was given the all clear.
  10. I was not the one who disembarked nor do I have a financial interest other than just asking on behalf of the person.
  11. I understand what you’re saying but if she had no showed and never boarded, she’d have been refunded at least partially (port fees and gratuities). I don’t see the distinction between the two for the purposes of these fees
  12. Why not? If you get those refunded as a no show, shouldn’t you get it refunded for disembarking early?
  13. One of the people in my group recently disembarked on day 5 of a 10 day Norwegian sailing. It was her first cruise and she couldn’t handle the seasickness. what can we expect in terms of refunds for the following (all prepaid) gratuities Port fees and taxes spa thermal pass TIA
  14. Just curious what are the differences between breakaway and encore? I haven’t sailed encore but have been on joy which I think is the sister ship?
  15. Can anyone tell me if the thermal spa on getaway has the ice room/cold room? My last trip on escape had it and it was wonderful; but the website doesn’t say whether or not getaway has it and I didn’t see it in the YouTube videos I watched TIA
