Just a note on the horrible free “champagne”, on my last cruise on the Getaway I noticed at the bar in the theater that they were carefully hiding the label when I ordered a glass of Prosecco. I asked them to turn the bottle and oops, they were serving the junk. Got that fixed fast!

Our friends will not cruse NCL because of the brand of toilet paper. We told them to pack their own. They did and were embarrassed because they had to go to the naughty room. They exceeded the TP limit! We could never find out how many rolls are allowed.
Smile - your on Candid Camera!
I’m pretty sure the limit is zero. The plumbing system can’t handle the fancy paper.

We call the whipped cream “crack cream” because it is so good. I’m not a purist though. Your mileage may vary.
I will warn you that a seagull once stole a bite of my scrambled eggs on the Epic. Then spit them out. When the vultures of the sea won’t eat it…

We are booked may 31 on the Spirit from tahiti to Hawaii for our anniversary. Does anyone think these cancellations will affect this cruise? We have planned so long for this.
I’m on the Spirit from Hawaii to Alaska on June 12. Fingers crossed!

NCL did offer this option, to Gatwick and Heathrow, pre-COVID. A Shore-Ex desk error kept me from enjoying it, but others said it was worth the cost.

My Spirit cruise is in June, 2022. When I added the half-priced air (solo cruiser), a routing appeared within a few days on my trip summary.
I didn't expect it to be the final routing, but at least it showed I had purchased it.
I just looked at the summary and the air routing is no longer listed. Is this normal or do I need to call to track down the error?
Thanks!

I think you are mixing up the Platinum dinner vouchers and the SDP. For the vouchers there is a limit of $20 per entree. There is not a limit for the SDP.
“Benefit is available on sailings 5 days or longer, and entitles each guest to one appetizer, one entrée and one dessert of choice. Entrée items up to $35 are covered. For items over this amount, an upcharge will be added to your onboard account. No restaurant substitutions. Names vary by ship. Restaurants not available on all ships. On Norwegian Bliss, Moderno is replaced by Los Lobos or Q. On Norwegian Joy, Moderno is replaced by Food Republic or Q. In Food Republic, the benefit entitles each guest to a total food value of $35 per guest. On Norwegian Encore, Moderno or La Cucina is replaced by Los Lobos or Q.”

Just ask your steward. I have received a more comfortable (armless) chair for my balcony. Just let them know what you want (and tip well).

That's around the 5-year mark for the ship, I wonder if they got the drydock time scheduled and this repositions the ship for that.
The dry dock was just completed so they won’t need the repositioning cruises. The Barcelona transatlantics were cancelled as well.

I put in a bid for a balcony from an outside but yesterday noticed that the price had dropped so that my bid and the actual upgrade cost were the same so called and just upgraded.
Now I'm wondering if I should bid for a club balcony but the upgrade program still thinks I'm in an outside cabin.
Wondering if it is worth it as those club cabins are directly under the pool deck/gym and maybe noisy, this is on the Jade btw.
Not sure if the Jade is better, but had a mini-suite on the Gem. Often when I went onto my balcony I heard kids playing shuffleboard right above me. It was not pleasant. They also had the bathtubs with really high sides that were miserable to get in and out of.
-
Is there a way to know in advance which have showers and which have tubs? The tub on the Gem was so high sided and skinny bottomed that I showered in the spa. Grateful I had that spa pass!

I sent my paperwork via email yesterday. Haven't heard back yet but will post when I do. Where is it noted on your booking if you don't get an email? I looked in my summary on the top left right and don't see anything yet.
Scroll down the page. It will be listed in your summary along with your free at sea and latitudes reward items. Mine is at the bottom of the list.

There is no Portside BBQ on Navigator.
$35.00 per person at Izumi for each visit.
$20.00 each at Playmakers and Johnny Rockets per visit.
Chops, Jamie’s and Hooked for lunch or dinner. Gratuity is included in the price.
I am not sure about the Bamboo Room.
Are the milkshakes at Johnny Rockets included with the dining package?

I emailed two forms and my brokerage statement this morning. As of now I have received six separate copies of a new amenity confirmation for one of the two cruises. Nothing yet for the second.
-
How far ahead are you placing requests? My cruises are in the next two years. Too soon?

Le Bistro also went from a Rack of Lamb to a Lamp Chop.
I am disappointed. We finally got the rack of lamb back and they change to a cheap shank and those spices to cover up the lack of quality meat. Sad.

I sail in 52 days. Final payment was made on day 61. Still no flight details. Domestic. In hindsight I wish I had not selected air through NCL. Even at 52 days it would not have been much more expensive to book the flights of my choice separately. This is solo though. BOGO probably would've been a different story.
I have added air as a solo for two cruises next year. They gave me half off for the BOGO.

In the “olden times” last minute cruises would be dumped on a travel auction site. I retired so I could grab deals like that. Oh well…

I was interested to see the Spirit is due to start cruising February 9th 2022 starting in Sydney. Oh Yes!!! I think it would be very long odds of that happening.
Is it going to run empty from Europe or America not berthing in the "red" Covid countries"? Notably India.
Australia and New Zealand governments seem to be adamant that the borders will not be open to cruise ships this southern summer.
As long as they get the Spirit Hawaii by June 12 I’ll be happy. I don’t think I can handle another cancelled cruise!

Thank you. The air portion isn't there, though it clearly shows on the confirmation I got from NCL. I'm 355 days out, though, so maybe I just need to be patient? I know they won't be final until the 60-45 day mark, but I am just curious to see what the flights *could* look like.
I’m a little over 300 days out and nothing is on my summary either. I did read that due to cancellations and changes they are busy rebooking hundreds of flights. We’re probably at the end of a long line for booking.

As I noted above, if you book an excursion then any others for that port may not show. That may or may not be the reason you only have 1 showing.
I booked it months ago. It was showing 14 until yesterday.
-
I have had 13 available for the Alaska part on my Spirit cruise next June. Nothing for Hawaii.
Last week it increased to 14 and now it is showing only the one I booked. I’m assuming updates or a glitch. -
Keeping my fingers crossed for the Spirit next June. With Australia’s border situation I hope they don’t scrap the Honolulu to Vancouver trip.
Anyone find a good Black Friday on board sale?

Thanks for posting this question. I thought the sale started tomorrow! I just found almost $200 savings on the refreshment package, unlimited dining and one shore excursion. I have to call the group department to cancel and rebook tomorrow.
