Hey friend! Is this something new or did I somehow miss this the times we have been to PR? I don't recall any umbrellas (other than places you eat at outside the restaurant). Any pictures of what they are talking about?
This site has a good picture. https://viajeraymochilero.com/en/the-colorful-umbrellas/
Also thanks so much for all your reviews. I will be staying at Decanter next time I’m in San Juan because of your review.

It may depend on the ship. On some of the ship that cabin number is an L shaped cabin, which some like because the bathroom and closets are laid out differently than a regular cabin so it’s not a crowded in the entry hallway. Maybe you mentioned the ship, but I missed it. Here’s a video for 2450 on the Breeze.

On our last cruise in May, we had three girls in Circle C. They went every night after dinner. Most nights they were anxious for us to finish up so they could check to see what was happening at the club. It is something they are already talking about for next years cruise.
During the daytime, they were always with us.

Here is my short review from May. It mostly just covers port stuff.

Personally I'd just go down to Jack's Shack away from the crowds and let your kids play there and you and your husband enjoy the food/drinks and lounger there. Save your $400 on the overpriced excursion. As far as sand toys, we typically buy some pre-cruise as we buy our wine and sodas and just throw them in the trash once we're done our last beach stop so we don't have to drag them back onto the ship and home.
Plus the boys might enjoy watching Topher digging in the sand at Jacks. Youtube Topher grand Turk to see videos.

We did Sapphire in May. It was $10 per person each way. Took maybe 20-30 minutes. Two taxis were waiting when we were ready to leave.

Thank you for the notice. I just bought one for my second cabin that isn't platinum for May 25, 2019 on the Breeze.

Never mind on the original question. I think I found the answer. It sounds like most of the time the shows do book up quickly. I have a follow up question. When you book a show, are you given an assigned seat?
Thanks

We are thinking about trying out NCL after many Carnival Cruises. From reading this board, it sounds like NCL theatre shows and comedy clubs must be booked in advance. One review said all slots were booked by end of the first day. Is this the norm? We usually make our plans for the night while we are eating dinner.
Any other procedures that are very different from Carnival?
Thanks,
Amanda

Thank you for your answers back. The main reason I ask about St. Kitts, I really didn't find much that I liked about it, and thought, perhaps things were better there, but it doesn't sound that way too much. Yes we like the beach as well, so that may be what we do.
We loved St Kitts. We toured with Javin of My Islands. Here is a copy of my review of the day.
We saw so much. Javin also brought along his monkey Peaches. We started the day in an open safari vehicle. We went to his old neighborhood to see an old cotton mill where he and his friends played as kids. On the way, my husband told me something didn’t sound right with the truck. Shortly after, Javin advised we would stop by his house to switch vehicles after we go to the rainforest. The rainforest hike is a workout. Everybody was sweaty after that. Next we stopped at his house to switch vehicles. David said Javin was holding out. This was a nice bus with plenty of room to spread out and air conditioning. Next we went to Black Rocks. Javin had a picnic with different types of empanadas from the Island Bakery. He also had water and soap so we could wash our hands. From my research about St Kitts, only a few vendors go down on the rocks. Javin set up a safety rope and took us down. It was nice to get up close to it. Our next stop was a rocky beach area for snorkeling. I am not a great swimmer and struggled to keep up. The three girls are great swimmers and later admitted to struggling as well. They said he moved through the water like a mermaid. The monkey snorkeled with us. I thought of retreating to shore at one point but I eventually caught up because the group reached one of the spots and were heading back closer to my direction. My advice on this one is to snorkel on your own near the shore, if you are not a strong swimmer. After snorkeling, Javin took us to Frigate Bay (I think that was the name) for some beach time. There was also some close to shore snorkeling at this beach. Javin set out some more empanadas. We headed back to the ship at 3PM. It took less than 30 minutes to get back. This was a packed, fun, tiring day.

A question for those that use the microfiber towels. I've used them in a previous cruise and loved how small & lightweight they are and that the sand just falls off. Last time I washed them in the self serve laundry room. This cruise I will turn platinum so I will get free wash and fold service. Has anyone used the wash and fold service for the microfiber towels. I figure if I bring enough for two days we can sent a batch each day we return from port.

Is there a vault in the room?
Are you saying we have to ASK for a bathrobe? Will they bring us one if we ask???
I don't mind doing without a frig, as long as I have plenty of ice! I don't need the room steward (if he is busy) to bring it to me if I KNOW where to get it!
Our stateroom R220 had the safe that requires a magnetic strip card to open. The kids cabin next door had a pin code safe.

jkneern or 2PinaColadas:
Thanks so much for your info. Looking forward to being on Fascination in a few days also.
Did either of you use the Internet while on board? If so, how was the Wi-Fi coverage? I've read a few people comment about slow speeds on its first few trips after dry-dock.
HH
I tried using the wifi for school. I purchased the value then upgraded to premium and still couldn't access my school's site. I got guest services to refund it. I tried again a different day and was able to get access but each page took awhile to load. On the last day, I accessed again to print boarding passes for flights and it worked much better (that was in St Maarten).

Our sixth and last port was St Maarten. We decided to take it easy. We took the water taxi ($7 round trip) town. We shopped around and found a few things. One lady was trying to sell us $30 “Rolex” watches out of a Walmart bag. The water at the beach in town is so beautiful. After shopping, we went back to the ship and took it easy for the rest of the night.
With faster to fun, we had to be in the Palace at 0715 with our luggage. Only about 40 people, showed up so it was quick and easy. We grabbed a cab for $26 to the airport. We are sad because vacation is over.

Our fifth port is St. Kitts. I booked an adventure with My Island Tours with Javin. He arrived at 0900 as scheduled. There were three other people also on this tour. His assistants name was Jevin. Our fourth port is St Lucia. We did the Land and Sea tour through Carnival. Overall this was a good excursion. The bus ride was long but there were a few stops. The catamaran back to the ship was a lot of fun. The crew worked hard trying to teach the girls to dance. Tonight is the second fancy night so we ate on the Lido. I wish I would have brought more fancy clothes because the menu looked really good.

Our third port was Barbados. We did the 4x4 Island Safari and Shipwreck Snorkel thru Carnival. It was ok. The snorkeling was great, lots of fish and the shipwreck was close enough to see without diving down. The safari was ok. It’s basically an island tour in an open cab. There is no off-road-safari style adventure like The North Coast Jeep Safari in Aruba. Warning: just to be safe, carry your valuables in a waterproof pouch. You have to walk out to the boat. The water was above waist level. After dinner, the kids went to an event at camp and we went to the casino.

We are on this cruise leaving on June 24th, so glad to see your review! We also have 2 cabins (adjacent) booked. Quick question- did they make you list an adult in the girls' cabin? That's how our reservation was done even though our daughter is 19.

Yes. I tried to switch rooms on the ship but was told no, they must have an adult listed for each room. She gave me a room key to my room with my husband so I had to remember to grab it also.

Our next stop was Antigua. I booked with Barry Oliver Taxi. He met us at 0800 just outside of the port complex. We arrived early so many taxi drivers were trying to get our business but when we said “we’re meeting Barry Oliver”, they backed off. It was a friendly bunch, joking and laughing with each other. Barry gave us a full island tour. He really knows his history and we talked a lot. We saw landmarks around town, learned about their school systems, and healthcare (we are nurses so this was interesting to us). We went to Devils Bridge, Betty’s Hope, and drove past Nelsons. We drove through the rainforest and stopped at Darkwood for snorkeling and swimming. We arrived back around 1:30. It was a day full of information and sights. The kids felt the driving portion was about 45 minutes too long. Overall, they said it was a fun excursion. While at the beach, Ayrin and Amber decided to show us some dance moves. Amber’s did not go well and she ended with a sore shoulder for the week. I highly recommend Barry. It was $50 per person. http://Www.barrytaxi.com Cell is 724-9119, his business card doesn’t list the area code. Tonight was fancy night so we headed back to the ship to get ready

Any insight for surviving interior rm for 3 on Breeze?
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
For our Breeze cruise at the end of May, the deluxe ocean view for 3 was cheaper than an interior for 3. If the same is true for your cruise, that gives you the sofa bed instead of the bunk and an extra partial bath with shower and sink.
