I agree. I don’t care for Starbucks or Dunkin’s coffee. They make money if more people get Starbucks packages and they want to make the free coffee as unappealing as possible. Only offering coffee mate is a good way of doing that. Having to guard the cream at Starbucks shows they know exactly what they’re doing.

I’m old fashioned. I use a percolator at home because I like hot, rich tasting coffee. But only use half n half and a drop of vanilla. Starbucks definitely always tastes burnt but at least it was a little better than black sludge with 15 coffee mates in it lol. That stuff just does not lighten the coffee and tastes horrible.

I just got off the Joy yesterday and couldn’t find cream or half and half anywhere. People realized Starbucks had it and started filling up cups from there. So half way thru the cruise, Starbucks took their cream away from the do it yourself counter and hid it behind the counter lol. Wouldn’t give you any unless you bought Starbucks coffee. The coffee mate is horrible. I guess it works to make them more money because most people were buying Starbucks every morning to get a decent cup of coffee.

I was going to do the minibus but maybe I’ll switch to the taxi if it’s less. Is that $32 each way a flat rate regardless of how many in your group? There’s 3 of us.

Thanks for this information about the minivan being at the dockyard. Someone here said it would be quicker with the ferry to St. George then bus to Crystal caves. Maybe we’ll go that way.

If you want to take the bus the #10 or 11 will get you from the Swizzle Inn or the Caves to BAMZ. It's about a 10 minute ride . Thank you so much! At least now I know I could pick up the bus at Swizzle Inn. I guess just have to decide either bus or taxi.

Ok that’s good to know. I read somewhere either Hamilton or St. George to get to the caves. But if it’s quicker I’ll definitely go the St. George route. Thank you so much!

Hi all! We’re sailing to Bermuda June 4 and staying over for 2 nights. We know we’re going to take the ferry over to Hamilton and then probably a minivan to Horseshoe Bay the first day. I’d like to visit the Crystal caves, swizzle inn and aquarium the second day. Is there a bus from Crystal caves to aquarium? Do you know bus # if there is one? I know bus 1,10, and 11 go to the caves from Hamilton. Thanks for any help.

I’m jealous you got a nice representative lol. But in all fairness, she was very nice until I asked her about just doing the soda for my son. She got adamant about everyone in the room getting the alcohol package. Whatever. It is what it is. It’s really not the extra money as much as them forcing it on me.

Yes. You’re right. I kind of knew that but forgot because my son is 25 so it’s the alcohol package or I have to buy soda one full price. Last time I was on NCL they didn’t force the third person to get alcohol package too. They said since it was given free to first 2 people the third didn’t have to get it. I guess now that’s changed. I spoke to someone else and they basically said they don’t care about drs notes and him being autistic. He has to pay the full gratuities on the alcohol package. I just did it and I’m trying to forget about it lol. So would they force a pregnant woman to pay for the alcohol package too? A recovering alcoholic?

The soda package isn’t given at all for a perk, so you have to buy it at full price. Around $80 for the week. Only a $70 difference from $152 but still. It wasn’t just the money part. She was really rude so I just wanted to leave the situation and maybe try again. Seems crazy to force me to get him the alcohol package when he absolutely cannot and will not drink alcohol. I understand people try to scam but I offered drs note or anything they wanted from me. I’ll try again and see what happens.

Well, I called today but I’m going to wait a bit and call back again. I wanted to add the drink package perk for me and my husband and the soda package for my son. I’m trying to explain to them that he’s on the spectrum, takes medication and won’t even sip champagne at new years. He hates alcohol but she insisted I have to get him the drink package too. Even offered to bring drs note but she didn’t budge. I told her to forget it and I’ll call another time. How much are the gratuities? Probably only 100 more than the soda package but she was so snooty I just wanted off the phone because I didn’t want to be rude lol
