  1. Have done Luminae numerous times and frankly I think the menus are far too limited. Thank goodness on the M class ships you can still order from the main dining room menu. For a Suite level experience, the Luminae menus need to offer much more choice along the lines of Grills class on Cunard
  2. I believe that there may be limits introduced on the size of ships visiting this location.
  3. Shore excursions have never been available on the website for this Feb 23 Indonesia cruise so for that leg I don't believe its a question of them being sold out- a really strange scenario.
  4. a wise move to be concerned as final payment approaches. I genuinely can't believe they are still working on shore excursion planning. This cruise has been in the offing for months and I don't believe Indonesia has particularly strict or onerous Covid related restrictions.
  5. Was on the previous Beyond T/A cruise and I can report there were a lot of unhappy people due to the frequent and loud creaking noises in the cabins. Opening the window in an IV cabin a little did seem to help alleviate some of the noise but of course occasionally these windows are locked by the Captain so not always a readily available remedy. it appears that the noise experienced varied from deck to deck.
  6. Is anyone else getting concerned due to the lack of the above? Despite repeated chasing via the HAL UK Office I am consistently told that they are still working on putting together the shore excursions. Am told the cruise is fully booked which is why it cannot be accessed on the HAL website but me personally, am minded to think this cruise will be cancelled in favour of a drydock option. Any insights or info from HAL Seattle would be appreciated
  7. It's now less than 180 days till this cruise departs Singapore. Am I right to think this cruise may again be cancelled?? HAL have not provided any useful information as to why the shore excursions are not on its website and I am getting concerned since I don't want to book flights until there is some certainty that the cruise is operating.
  8. LB_NJ, My knowledge of transfers from Seattle Airport to Vancouver comes from a cruise we did ages ago on HAL. Indeed the journey between the two locations is not too far but a cruise line transfer will be cheaper and less hassle than a one way car hire journey. There are also bus option between Seattle and Vancouver. Given the size of the Queen Elizabeth, the journey up to Alaska should indeed include the Inside Passage transit at least on the Northbound leg. This typically involves routing via the Seymour Narrows between Vancouver Island and the mainland. The large mega ships are too large for some of the narrow points in the journey hence they need to take an "outside" passage route.
  9. Looking at a June 2023 QE cruise to Alaska from Vancouver. May well fly into Seattle and am curious to know if anyone on this year's Alaska cruises can confirm if Cunard were operating transfers to/from Seattle airport to the Vancouver cruise terminal? Most of the US based cruise lines do ( e.g Princess etc) but am curious to know if it is likely Cunard would do the same. Many thanks in advance for any input to this matter.
  10. Thanks for this info. I have indeed already tried via my account but nothing is showing. Guess I will try again in a few more days.
  11. Have a February 2023 cruise booked. How far in advance will the shore excursions be available to book? So far, nothing appearing im my voyage planner.
  12. Yeah, the cancellation was a real disappointment and seems amazing that the current pax count is only 800- must mean a lot of staff left the ship in the US hence the reason for the significantly reduced pax headcount for the legs from San Francisco onwards. Hope the Glacier viewing is going well
  13. I too would like to know how many passengers are onboard. My wife and I ( and a couple travelling with us) were the unfortunate recipients of a cancellation of our QE cruise for the San Francisco - Alaska-Vancouver legs departing 1 June 2022. This cancellation came only about 18 days prior to our planned embarkation in San Francisco
