  1. Lloyds has cancelled our in person appointments for October already! I've found another local Lloyds that is still offering appointment so have rebooked, but I think it is only a matter of time before that gets cancelled too. Hoping that we won't actually have to do one by October.
  2. Our first LFT last year was void - we weren't doing it to travel fortunately. Since then we have done several more and they have been fine, so we obviously did something wrong the first time. I'm going to practice again before our cruise as we haven't done one for a while. I still have some of the free NHS ones left to practice on!
  3. I'm booked with local Lloyds for a cruise in October (I like to plan ahead!). Just checked the website and they are still offering tests at the one I've booked with, but only on Tuesdays and Thursdays in June, July and August, but September and October they offer them every day - this looks ominous to me so will look for an alternative.
  4. Hi - yes it is a paid for one not a free one so not NHS and use by date is next year. I have also checked with the company I bought it from (the rules changed after we had purchased and we needed a PCR test on return instead and isolate until we go the results) and they have confirmed it is still valid. Still hoping that the rules will have changed by October, though there are comments on this thread that implies this is unlikely!
  5. Hi - I think there are other on-line options that don't rely on an app. I won't be using Randox as I don't use a smartphone, but there are options I believe where you can email the results as long as you can take a photo - I use my slr camera and download the image. If you can log on to this forum then the non app options should be just as easy? I too have booked Lloyds but our cruise isn't until October and I may book with another company just in case - there are too many messages on here about cancellations and I have lost confidence in the pharmacy. We do have a back up of an LFT that we didn't use last year and I may buy another just to be on the safe side.
  6. Thanks Two Wheels Only. This is our first time with NCL. You have reassured me. I think I will write in advance too. I'm also diabetic so that adds to the complication. We have a cruise line in the UK called Fred Olsen and they cater for anyone's dietary needs. We all meet up with the Maitre d' to go through everything and because it is fixed dining, the relevant waiters for the table will also be informed.
  7. Thanks for the information and disappointed to see so little for vegetarians/vegans. We tend to sail with British cruise lines mainly P&O which provide plenty of choice for veggie and vegans - at least a third of each dinner menu choices were veggie or vegan and the menus change daily even on a 2 week cruise. Looking at the photos earlier in this forum I was underwhelmed with presentation - we have had much better presented food on P&O and Princess and just in the ordinary restaurants. If this is the Haven, then I dread to think what the food is like in the main restaurants on board. We have booked for the Haven next year and are thinking of cancelling after seeing this.
  8. Thanks for info re Dam health. I've also booked with Lloyds so will bear in mind re cancellations, several people have mentioned this now and as we have to take the test on a Saturday, I am expecting it to be cancelled, though we don't travel for months yet and P&O could have relaxed the requirement by then - I live in hope!!!
