  1. Thank you. We will be in St. Croix for the first time in October and are looking for our best option. Would prefer an island tour, but does not have to be.
  2. I know St. Croix is not visited as frequently as other islands in the area and as such there are fewer posts here and fewer 3rd party options so I'm starting my search early. We will be visiting St. Croix for the first time in October. Normally I like to do an island tour the first time I visit an island, but I honestly don't know if I'll ever visit St. Croix a 2nd time, so I'm looking for what might be considered a must do excursion/activity. Our trip has plenty of beach days, so unless the beach is better than St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Barbados it does not need to have beach time. Royal Caribbean does offer an excursion over to Buck Island if that's a better option that staying on St. Croix as I have not been there before either. If an island tour is the right option, does anyone have recent experience with local tour guides? Thanks in advance
  3. Thank you, but I don't really understand. I thought on my ship card there was a code to use to sign into the Internet. I've never done the 2 device, so maybe there are 2 codes on the card? Or a different code inside the MSC for Me App?
  4. We too are sailing on the 31st. I called them, no hold time, talked to the rep and they finished our check in for us telling us they would do the pics at the dock. This is our 4th time sailing with MSC and the 1st time the web interface would not let us skip the picture part. Of interesting note, we could do everything but the picture on the computer - web cam would show our face, but not actually take the picture AND we could easily take the picture in the app, but it would not scan the passport. I could not find a way to combine the 2 processes, so I just called. They emailed me my ticket as I was on the phone with them.
  5. We are on the Seashore later this month and our package includes Internet and 1 device. I know this is literally 1 device per person. Because of some stuff happening at work, I'm going to need a 2nd device. I assume I can just go to the MSC site and select the Browse & Streaming 1 device, prepay and be all set. Would that be accurate? Once on board I would then have 1 browse device and 1 Browse & Stream. How would I make sure the Browse & Stream was associated to my laptop and the Browse was associated with my cell phone?
  6. We are seasoned cruisers but have never made it to Costa Maya. Assuming our ship makes it later this month, we are looking for someplace to go outside the cruise pier similar to Paradise Beach (our favorite) or Mr Sanchos in Cozumel. Looking for someplace with both beach access and a pool. There are 4 adults and 2 teens and we are not big drinkers, but don't mind AI since we do like to eat 🙂 If I'm reading other forum posts correctly, it looks like Mahahual Beach is the right area, but I can't seem to find someplace with a decent pool too. If there isn't someplace with a decent pool is there part of Mahahual Beach that has clearer water than the other? Is the water at Jamie's Blue Reef about as good as it gets?
  7. You can get canned soda. I do it on MSC all the time, they typically give you a can and ask if you want a cup of ice.
  8. Thank you both. I didn't see the soda machine when we were on in November. How does it work for just those with drink plan? We were never issues cups with RFID like on RCL.
  9. We were on the first sailing back from the US in November after the Seashore had been in Europe. On that trip they seemed to have Coke, Pepsi and Keurig DrPepper brands on board. I'm assuming some were left over from Europe and some were new for the us sailing as I don't see neither Coke nor Pepsi giving them a good deal if they sell both. So, does anyone who has sailed on the Seashore since then know what brand they have in the US and more specifically, what diet soda options they have?
  10. I'm familiar with the ferry ride as I've gone a few times, but I'm looking for options to get to/from the ferry terminal.
  11. Belci, I'm not sure if you are back yet or not as it's still January. Did you end up going to Pinel Island? My wife and I have been a few times, we have always gotten the "tour" with Benard's Tour which is really just $45 per person for a van ride to and from the ferry. I just came on here to see if I could find a way to save a few $$. That being said, does anyone know if we can just get a taxi back and forth and what that cost might be? My biggest concern would be taxi back to Philipsburg.
  12. We were there in November and had no issues in the garage itself, but all of the outside parking was under construction and closed. That meant less room in the garage of course. The luggage drop off area was not affected. Does anyone know when the construction is expected to be completed?
  13. Our checking documents said early time requested, but we had late listed on our cards. I don't know when they are assigned, but we didn't find out our dining time until we got our room keys.
  14. Thank you! I definitely didn't see that last week. In the past we had gone to the restaurant on embarkation day and were turned away saying they could not change it, so we didn't try this time. I'll keep an eye open for this on our Spring Break cruise if needed.
  15. Does anyone know how dining times are assigned for US cruises? My wife and I have cruised MSC 4 times now and asked for early dining each time. We have been assigned late dining (9pm-ish) each time. We've always sailed via the Bella experience. For Spring Break we will have 6 of us. Since we needed to pick our rooms we are doing Fantastica and have requested early dining once again. The MSC site says with Fantastica you get to "Request your preferred dining time". When booking Bella we were asked what our preferred dining time was, so "requesting" seems no different to me. I might be in the minority here, but even on my cruises, I'm normally in bed by 9:30 or 10 since I wake up around 4. Late dining is terrible for me. We only ate in the dining room 1 night on our last cruise because I just didn't want to stay up that late.
  16. Please note, my post was not a complaint. I’ve cruised long enough to know things can change. I was only posting as an update to anyone that was interested as I know some people like to track these things. I was trying to prevent the post today that says “Why is the Seashore not in Nassau as scheduled?” post. I don’t care that Carnival or Royal decided to leave and we didn’t. That does not affect me. And it’s not like we are missing any ports or anything.
  17. Yes and it’s supposed to be in Nassau as we were scheduled to be tomorrow.
  18. Yes. They said for our comfort. Was expecting them to say safety. The carnival freedom and mariner of the seas both got underway on time.
  19. Onboard the Seashore now. We were just informed that instead of leaving tonight, Nassau tomorrow, ocean cay, sea day and back to port Canaveral we are not leaving until tomorrow which will be a sea day. Then ocean cay, then Nassau and back. So pretty much swapped sea day and Nassau with some slight change in departure times.
  20. We have 3 couples looking to book a cruise on an USA based cruise next summer. My DW and I happen to be sailing a short 4 day next month. Can anyone tell me about how MSC's future cruise bookings work while on board? Are the prices the same as I can find now and just possible better OBC or are there better discounts too? We are gold and get 10% off balcony rooms as it is if that matters at all.
  21. We had MSC match our Carnival Platinum and were given MSC Gold before our first MSC cruise. That was great. In looking over the privileges prior to our next (4th) MSC cruising coming up I see a couple things that I have questions about. Complimentary gift - do we have to go somewhere to get this gift? We have not gotten one on the previous 3 Complimentary one-hour thermal area session - I assume we just go to the spa area and request our time? Can anyone give some details on the complimentary MSC Voyagers Club Photo - Do we have to be in the VC for that? Thanks in advance for your input.
  22. Thank you both, it’s appreciated.
