  1. I know not a lot of us have done true 14 day cruises (ie, not two back to back 7 days). For those that have, what are the menus like? Is it the normal 7 day just repeated? Our upcoming 14 day to Greenland has 9 sea days, 5 in a row. Should we expect the normal sea day brunch menu for all those days? Should we expect 4 formal nights? Thanks for any info.
  2. Looks like John said excursions would be posted soon. That being said, I've stopped in Barbados on several cruises and now the only thing we do is visit The Boat Yard. https://www.theboatyard.com/ We love it there and can't wait to go back again. Highly recommended.
  3. We have not sailed out of Baltimore before. Is there someplace close to the port that we can have the uber stop so we can buy a 12 pack of Coke's to bring on board?
  4. We were docked port side. I was pleasantly surprised as the other times we’ve been to Ocean Cay we were starboard side and our room was port side this time.
  5. There was on this 7 day. We did a 4 day in July last year and I don’t remember there being one, but I don’t have menus saved to verify.
  6. Was on the balcony and mentioned to my wife that it was really windy out. Not 2 minutes later the captain announced we were going to miss our call to Costa Maya as the 40 knot winds and sea currents would not allow safe docking. We can see other ships sailing in circles with us so I don’t think it’s just us. I prefer port days but these things happen.
  7. Currently on the MSC Meraviglia and we are docked at Ocean Cay. Shortly after 4:30 (didn’t have clock near me) we had a man overboard. Announcement says person was recovered in the water, is conscious and receiving medical attention. I don’t have any further details. We are docked port side so I assume it was not off the port side.
  8. Thank You. We are on the 2/19 sailing as well. We'll wait another week or so since the 6 week turn around time she was quoted is tomorrow, but want to be ahead of the game in case it does not arrive.
  9. When doing the web check-in the MSC website assumes everyone is traveling with a passport. My wife's passport is being renewed so our cruise in just over 2 weeks she might have to use a birth certificate instead of the passport. Is there any way to do the web check-in using the birth certificate? Do we need to call? Or just check in at the port? (Port Canaveral)
  10. It is not "run down". It is this way be design. If you want water parks, you need to cruise RCL. If you want relaxing on a great beach, then Ocean Cay is great. I don't like it as much as Half Moon Cay, but it's #2 on my list of private islands in the Caribbean/Bahamas. I can't wait to get back there, only 21 more days.
  11. I just want to say thank you for this review. We were on the 3 day cruise and debarked the day you arrived. We are doing the same 7 day as you in just under a month so this review including all the menu's and activity papers was great.
  12. APDMOM has most, if not all of them in her review (menu's too)
  13. My PVP replied to me that he had been out and would look into this "tomorrow" for me. It's been 5 days and I have not heard from him again. I still see offers at $50 but less than I was seeing before. As soon as I click one of them I still get the message that it just sold out. If I try to book a balcony cabin on any of these sailings with $50 inside offers, I still get the "just sold out" message. There must be a coding issue on the back end.
  14. I’ve reached out to my PVP, but got auto reply that he’s out of the office for the weekend. I’m definitely not a lapsed customer (did 2 cruises with Carnival in 2022) nor a big onboard spender as neither of us drink and we don’t do Carnival excursions. My S&S bill is never over $200, it’s normally under $100. It’s also not listed as a casino rate. I like the offers and we’d like to take advantage of one in Jan/Feb. I’ll post again when/if I hear back from my PVP or if I end up calling in. Thanks for feedback.
  15. Over the past month or so I’ve noticed that carnival.com will show inside cabins for cruises departing in a week or less listed for $50. These are 3-8 day cruises such as this one However if I try to book one it tells me it just sold out. However it’s doing this for all sailings with a price of $50 and does so even if I check back hours later. Does anyone have an idea of what is going on? Is this something I need to call my PVP on if I want to book one? TIA
  16. We sailed the Divina earlier this year and loved going to Piazza Del Doge. We just booked a weekend on the MSC Meraviglia and came here to ask the same question. Does anyone know?
  17. Has anyone used https://onpoint-testing.com/product/certified-teleservice-covid-testing/ for a Disney cruise? They are the same idea as emed but you can use any over the counter test. Same rules apply - must open and to the test in front of the telemedicine representative.
  18. We are going on our first MSC cruise in a 2 weeks. We have an overnight stay in Ocean Cay. I noticed one of the excursions is beachside stargazing. Has anyone done this before? I'd really like some input. We live near Atlanta and there is too much light pollution to see anything outside of some basic constellations. This sounds like something I'd enjoy if they aren't over selling it "using state of the art computerized tracking telescopes, finds the most striking star clusters, planets, nebulas and galaxies on display that evening."
  19. I asked the exact same question on here Monday and didn't get any definitive answers. I decided to pay the extra and use eMed to be safe.
  20. We are scheduled for our first MSC cruise at the beginning of July. I've cruised Carnival a couple times since the re-opening and we've done rapid testing at CVS. This past cruise our insurance (UHC) said that covid test for travel are no longer covered so we got a bill for $91. I'd seen telehealth tests that are like $65 in the past so I figured we'd do that this time. 2 questions 1. Does MSC accept the telehealth tests? 2. In searching for one to buy, I found onpoint-testing.com which says they do a certified teleservice with ANY at home test for $14.99. Since I have the 4 free ones from the US Government I'd like to use these, but don't have any experience with this site. Has anyone used them and had them accepted for a cruise? I'd ideally like to ask this across all cruise boards, but since our upcoming trip is MSC I'm posting here. Thanks in advance.
